102 Kms with one light - great CNG performance

nd my car also does almost 160km wid ac on one cylinder on motorway.avg speed is 125km/h.but when i got 200kms,i was driving at 80-90kmh.so it gave me the edge.

we have a 2007 alto vxr in our use.last month while comin back from pindi.filled it from grace cng just after ISB turning.with 4 passengers on board came to kharian.then drove some local.then 2 round trips 2 jhelum.got an amazing 246 KMs in total.da car has 165 yokohama tyres unlike 2 stock 145s.Alto is xtremely good on CNG.tonnes of times better than my wives 2005 mehran vxr.my father carries out regular tuning n changes air filter after every 2-2.5 K mileage with every tuning.u get the best CNG in Pakistan between the GUJJAR KHAN-RAWALPINDI belt.ever wondered y?some say its coz Gujjar khan gets it gas directly from the MESSA KESWAL gas fields which is in close proximity and gas is very rich.not sure though.comments welcomed 4 every1s general knowledge/education!

I Agree with hassam. however good be the CNG, it can never cover nearly 100 kms in one light. this is false guage reading.

You can't compare the performance this way by just mentioning you did these many miles in one cylinder - there are so many variables. The way to go is to calculate per Km cost and I guess it will turn out to be in the range 2.0 - 3.0 Rs/Km for most cars. Mehran and other small cars are exception as they are very light weight.

Glad the hear you guys are getting such good avg, my 05 vti AT does only 30+ in first light and barely goes over 110km in full cylinder(55).....

I agree with comments about the CNG Consumption of Margalla. It is very good and i m not surprised that it reaches 200km in a 55kg cylinder. I have myself witnessed this rather unbelievable phenomena.

I do not agree with Comments stating that Honda City reaches 170km in the city. The CNG kit in my vehicle ( Honda City 2007) is correctly installed and i get 150 km in the city with gentle driving and about the same (160km) om highway at 130 km/hr

110-120 km is normal for a Honda Civic Vti engine and it is not bad at all considering the weight and size of the vehicle. Also lets not forget that the vehicle uses 15 inch tires and is a 1600 vehicle with excellent power.

And the fact is that most people here unfortunately do exaggerate (intentionally or unintentionally)the milegaes that they get with their cars.

in 55 kg cylinder max. gas which accomodate is around 8.1- 8.2 kg( lets assume around 8kg) bcoz 0.2 to "start & keeping warm" mey consume ho jaee gee

now divide 4 lights in even proportion that's mean 4 light= 8/4 =2 kg
means ideally 1 light represents 2kg
2 light represents 4kg
3 light represents 6kg
4 light represents 8kg
red light represents reserved kg
(app. that 0.2-0.5kg)

then what does it means in 2kg coure can go 102 km, amazing??????

coure is 800cc which gives maximum 13-14 km/cng within city
& 15-16 km/cng outside city (in 4th gear above 80km/hr)

so means in 8.2kg it can maximun gives 8.2 X 16= 131.2 km (if it is very good tuned)
then 131.2/4 means=app. 32km per light of cng

then how can car go 102km in 1 light ( if u assume by this then it means car should go 410 km in full cylinder WHICH IS PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE)

so definitely 100% there is fault in cng light,GO & fix it soon
(beleive me all above calculations are based if car is well maintained & weel tuned & w/o a/c)

I got 180 KM from my LIANA at speed of 100~110 KM/hr and from cultus got 190 at speed of 110~115 KM/hr. I travell from lahore to chiniot via M3 i.e. faisalabad interchange.

We were talking about the milage of 1st light. It is a factory setting. no doubt lights turn off quickly after 1st one.
I have noticed so many times that my ALTO covers about 210 kms in 55L cylinder in long route.

its not possible.
dude ur lights mite have forgot to turn themselves OFF...lolol
a 1000 CC car giving this much mileage only with this much less usage of GAS..then i think there aint no big deal for all ov us to get an alto thts THAT MUCH ECONOMICAL as u mentioned.
no offense but get it fixed b4 u end up on side ov road with gas cylinder empty and gauge still showin 3 lights ON...lolol
happened to me once..lolol
one lite ws still ON wen cylinder was clean sweaped..
so i think its same drama here wid ur car..
