From quite a some time I have started hearing this steering jam or stuck complain on high speeds through the users, however i have personally replaced the steering racks 2 times on different issue with totally different symptoms.....in my case, on idling if you rotate your steering fully either left or right side and lock it then slowly very slowly release it, you can hear some cluck cluck or tuk tuk kind of sound..in start this sound was very very low that you can barely notice on roads...i always heard it only when i was at quiet place....this sound increased gradually and after some time I heard it clearly by doing the same action.....even then i never observed it during turning the car in normal driving nor I noticed any kind of play and jamming in the steering....
Finally got Photum H11s in low beam too.. had previously fitted 9005s in high beam, and at that time low beam were out of stock due to covid.Effect of increased light is awesome.
How much u got them for?
Hey gurus! My civic is approaching 40k service, and the expected bill is around 40k too (11k of labour alone). Is there anything that can be skipped/delayed?
As an example, I noticed my tyres dont need alignment/balancing.
12.5k for H11s from Bi LED.4, 5 months ago, got 9005s for 12k.
Ur very right. 3 of my colleagues told me same who have replaced the steering they said start the car in quiet environment and tern extreme left and then extreme right and slowly rotate it u ll feel tuk tuk or kir kir sound this is the sign of faulty steering rack. But me including some ppl r facing steering abnormal behavior at high speed like 130 + sometimes steering got very hard and then for some times feel there is minor play at left or right side. Minor play at 130 140 can be very dangerousTo me it happened for the first time for like 10 to 15 km then it got fine.
hmm...right....so may be the symptoms changed in later models.....
so far its ok just check the car if its readily available no issues in FL so far and it will be under 3 year warranty
Guys
I have driven my civic for 35k kms. Now i am facing a rattling noise when i press the brakes to decrease the speed at a pot hole or speed breaker.
Pls advise if i just need to get the brake pads changed or is this some other issue ?
Thanks
Checkout the Auto-tensioner....i remember i replaced it under warranty back in 2017...its one of the rare manufacturing faults in X..you have to take your car to the dealer...
If u are using BG LUXO tyres the rattling noise u are refering to is most probably the noise of ABS engaging upon braking. As these tyres have a poor road grip.
THERE IS A FUEL FILTER?????? I haven't replaced it abhi tuk!
The unclamping sound comes because the parking brake actually unclamps. Nothing to be worried about.
Does anyone know a way to make remote start work on Oriel with red meter. White meter oriels’s remote start work fine if programmed with turbo key but with the updated red meter the remote key function does not work. Looks like Honda has done something to deter it. Is there a work around that anyone can suggest? Thanks in advance
Obviously there is a fuel filter and two fuel pumps in turbo. If you have no issues with car and u think fuel you have been using is good then don't otherwise inspect n change if required.
Is throttle body cleaning/service advised? I've heard to avoid it at all costs but Honda itself offers this service.
there's a premium of 100k
Yes this is highly possible.
Anyways, after how many kms should the original brake pads be changed ?
Brake pads can only be evaluated by visual inspection.
Brake pads gone.
