I'll give my two cents, hopefully it'll help you make a purchase decision.

I have recently (June 2020) purchased a 2019 (March) Turbo for 4.1m, driven under 15k, well maintained with service history and faced similar comments regarding the price being steep which is agreeable however I decided to jump the gun and got it. My experience so far has been great. No issues whatsoever (Alhamdulillah) so I can wholeheartedly advise you to go for it. Try to get the price down to 4m if possible though.

Maintenance is comparable to 1.8 & shouldn't be a deciding factor. There is a marginal difference in the cost of 0w20 and 5w30 grade which one needs to change every 4-5k kms.

A couple of members have reported a significant improvement in drive after getting the sparkplugs changed at 20-30k kms (which depends on the quality of fuel used previously) However, as the fuel quality has improved due to euro5 standard I think the intervals would be wider henceforth.

Steering rack issue purely depends on luck, there are cases where out of warranty cars got them changed after getting accepted as a quality defect as one of the member mentioned.

Correct, I believe RS started rolling out in May. There were a couple of cars rolled out before invoiced at 35.5m.

Selling price demanded for these cars as discussed previously ranges from 4 to 4.3m. A typical argument when negotiating for the price is firstly the price of new turbo Rs (which is unreasonable due to additional options offered in the latter) . However the newer civic turbo Oriel 1.5 lacks the rear infotainment screen & paddle shifters which makes this model more comparable to the RS variant.

Just done with replacement of my 2016 1.5T civic steering rack , it was getting stuck with minor occasional tiktok, it was at initial stage. Once we are done , my both axles have started making tiktiks but randomly, it's been only couple of hours, it was right axle first then both axles and then Left axle .n Now more tiktik from left and less from right axle .... Arghh

I am very confused, we checked and tightened all the related screws three times, what is it? Is the steering assembly replacement caused it? It was absolutely fine before I visited the
Please suggest/ Advise....regards

Get ut checked from.same dealership. They might have messed it up.

Already get it checked from them after replacement today, they test drove it three times , tightened the bolts again and again

Now they are saying this is separate issue, it has nothing to do with Power steering replacement job which they did.

I kept asking them how come both axles gone faulty after replacement ....their reply was " Sir it's a machine, anything can go wrong anytime "

I was at dealership till 6:15 today way past their closing time....they told me to come tomorrow as they would redo the whole steering assembly again

Can we do the lubrication of axle as its dried according to the manager? Though it seems perfectly fine, not torn etc

This is main issue. Most likely workmanship issue as they have not installed it at exact distance from.axle.

Axle wasn't touched/ Removed during steering rack replacement as it's not required.......

Dear All,

Assalamualikum. I would appreciate your help with an issue I am facing with my 2016 1.5T.

Some time ago I started facing this issue. I tried resetting it using pin insertion in the reset button but that didn't help. I went to Honda Point, LHR and they guided me to Tracking World in Faisal town. But it turns out that Tracking World only deals in Oriel Navigation systems and not Turbo. Anyway, tracked down TECNO in Hafeez center and they sent a nice fellow to reset it with a recovery disk. Unfortunately, with many attempts the navigation system does not seem to be picking up the recovery SW. After giving up the TECNO representative concluded that there must be some HW issue due to which the complete multimedia system will have to be taken out and sent to Karachi for repairs which may cost me upwards of 25000/- and may take months in the process. The second option was to go for an aftermarket multimedia system. The second option will work but without the secondly rear screen.
I am stuck with a faulty mutimedia system with no cameras and don't have any idea what to do.
Please guide me as to what should i do.

Is this for turbo or oriel? and if it is for turbo is the rear screen working with it?

secondly if it is turbo what did you do with your old multimedia system?

The rear screen of the Turbo is useless. Get an aftermarket unit. Even a Rs. 15,000 unit is better than this piece of shit.

I would disagree. My kids always enjoy watching movies on long drives using rear screen.
