Dear it is just regular maintenamce . People use 0w-20 or 5w-30 in Turbo and same in Oreil. Not much price difference.

Plugs have life of 100,000 km for Turbo also. Very few eople have experienced premature failures which was due to bad fuel in 2016 . But this was resolved once fuel quality is improved and software update which removed knocking. I haven't changed my original plugs and it is 30k driven.

Steering rack is a problem which can occur anytime. Yes Honda accepts it as Quality defect and replace it . If car has full service history , it would be replaced by Honda even after out of warranty.

The car you sre looking for seems good and well maintained. I would advise you to buy it and you won't regret it.

BTW you can run on regular petrol without any issue whatsoever. Mostly you will find wrong infirmation/opinion from the persons who don't own Turbo

0w-20 from Honda or Total

All fuels are OK. My personal preference are

TOTAL
SHELL

Its not about the issues, somebody is guiding you wrongly.
But the main turn off is price which is too steep.
By the way no Turbo rolled out in 2018

Oh i got it now ... it must be some cars rolled out in Dec 18 / jan 19 just before the official resumption of Turbo Civic with RS monogram.

These cars were invoiced between 35 to 36 lacs. ..... imo there selling price should be 3.7 mil max

It depends on luck.... i am not having steering and AC coil issue in my june 2017 Turbo 41k kms driven doesn't means that it is cursed and one should refrain it buying. I still have 34 lac standing offer but i dont want to sale it.

On the other hand out of 02 Turbos 2016 & 17 and 03 Oriels 2018 Oct and Jan 2019 in office,

01 Turbo 16 model had a AC coil changed where as all 03 Oriels Steering racks replaced.

Realistically speaking these both parts are common in both and as the oriels sold in greater nobs so the freq of problem is more in civic 1.8.

I agree with you on the plugs and fuel issue but this is now resolved with the launch of Euro 5 regular fuel..... Oriel do have higher freq of failure of Cat Cons and spark plugs too .... even made people stranded in the middle of the road due to faulty fuel pumps but that is logically covered in warranty globally and not a turn off point of rejecting an oriel.

Total and Shell people are appreciating at the moment. My car is driven first 15k kms on Total than PSO HOBC throughout till now. Allhumdulillah all satisfactory.

PSO is pioneer in introducing Euro 5 compliant fuel so you can confidently put regular too if u want

Fuel pump fault is also in new fortuner.I saw other day on road fortuner was not starting.

Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo Oriel is the best choice.

According to my choice.

1.5 Turbo Oriel brand new is better than Alpha.

And Alpha is better than 1.8 Civic Oriel.

1.8 Oriel is better than Grande

i'm planning on buying Civiv Oriel 1.8 2020 , can anyone guide me if the known issues from 2016/2017 are still there or has the company resolved them over the past few years . Is it now safe to buy it in 2020 or will the same known issues will bother me?

Go for it. No issue has been reported in 2019 or 2020. However if any fault may happen, it is replaceable within warranty.

not faced any issue except car navigation system.don't opt for genuine honda navigation.it hangs every now and then.all on screen navigation buttons have stopped working

yes the stock multimedia/navigation is disappointing but getting your new car's dashboard opened and cutting wires for aftermarket navigation system also hurts and can result in alot of complications
plus installing front and rear camera from these after market mechanics isn't recomended either
