Sirs, one of the members was previously selling their koito retrofit headlights, those headlights were blacked out from inside. I couldn't afford them at the time but now im looking to do the same thing to my own stock headlights, does that sir remember where they got it blacked out from? If not can anyone else please help me out? Want to get it done properly

People usually use black spray paint inside of headlights.U can also install black paper on them to make them look black which is better than opening of original headlights.

Need your suggestions please. Is a dealership maintained 2016 turbo a wise choice for a family car or should I consider an oriel only? Or is the 2016 model year for civic not worth it considering the issues it faced? Resale is a non-factor for me.

The earlier turbo,s faced some problem regarding fuel quality due to which issues of knocking were faced by owners.Can,t say anything about now as some people say fuel quality has been improved.I would personally get a 1.8 because of lower fuel costs as it runs perfectly fine with normal fuel rather than hi octane.But if ur into performance of car then turbo is good.

AOA guy, need some help !!!
I own 2017 1.8 oriel and its 75k driven and from sometime there is "rattling" ( kharka) coming out of suspension and had it checked form Honda dealership and local mechanic all the suspension has been changed but the issue is still there.
Can you guys please recommend a solution for the issue

Corolla has slightly better fuel economy in my experience. Could possibly be due to the transmission that is more responsive, hence the reduced need to push to get the car moving properly.
I haven't really had the chance to compare over a decent number of full tanks but this is the initial observation.
On the highway, there was a difference of about 1-2 kmpl, the Corolla went up to 16 over a 120-140 km drive and the Civic just touched 14 over a 250+ km drive. If I remember correctly, traffic conditions and average speeds were about the same.

From what I've seen here at the forum, for used turbos the most important factor should be maintenance history and current engine condition. If it is dealership maintained, have it checked for the current engine condition and any knocking. This can be done at the dealership or with some experienced turbo user, maybe someone over here can help.
Besides this, turbos run fine on normal fuel after the engine remapping done by Honda, as reported by many users here.
Turbo can be a great family car, much more fun to drive when you want to push it, but very well behaved and with better fuel economy when you use it with a light foot.

It is perfect for daily driven . Regular fuel van be used without any issue now.

Yes they have been good, I have the top end one installed don’t remember what they known as but they are effective and keep the car cool....

And also you won’t pull over by police for tinting as they have clear visibility and sort of silverish tinged to it

I've been following this thread somewhat. So there have been some posts where people have recommended taking some precautions to ensure the health of a turbo engine e.g. not shutting down the car immediately and letting it idle for a while. This car will primarily be used by my parents, I don't think they'll be comfortable with this requirement.

I've some confusion about the fuel usage. Some claim that you still need to mix hi-octane. While may others have also stated that you can use regular fuel 100% of the time without an issue. If you could share your thoughts on this.

And we've a budget of about 35 lac. Is it enough for a well maintained turbo? Just checking now could hardly find a good one on pakwheels.

I just gave a can of spray paint to the guy that polishes my lights. He sits at Walton Lahore. The pic is a bit blurry but the actual result to my surprise is very good.

Fully endorse what you just described.
Also have first hand experience of driving both the cars and I opted to sell out Grand X lately. No doubt Grande X feels more nippy and responsive but still Civic feels a better car

No extra care needed. No need to idle it. It is only if you drive it at high speed ( >170 kmph) and immediately comes to stop rather than driving at normal before stop, then it is better to idle for few minutes .
Regular maintenance for Turbo. Ni extra care .

Regular fuel works absolutely fine but if you mix it with Hioctane, it is better.

You can find 2016 Maintained Turbo around 35. If it is in good condition, spending few more is wise option.
