Only a particular very very limited cars had a transmission issue but I believe that is due to wrong gearoil change procedures or severe wear and tear as CVT's tend to be more fragile than conventional Automatics. Civic X and 9th gen. are selling like hot cakes in the market right regarding resale. I'm having a good experience uptil now, let's see what happenes after gearoil change.
Things that go wrong with cars which are unusual and unheard of with other owners are usually negligence based, not all but some. For e.g, some weeks ago, there were 2 or 3 cases of Sportage's panoramic roof shattering and right after that, I saw a video in which a person is sitting on top of the glass panoramic roof with a pipe to wash it so there are many things we might be unaware of.
