I don't think that the issue is still prevalent as now almost all pumps are selling Ron 92 or above? Turbo owners , pls update

Honestly...I don't have any complaint....may be other have this problem....to my opinion issue arouse more when fuel was in transition phase...a lot of Turbos went crazy when substandard fuel was used....I am not sure....I got my delivery on 11 Jan 17...and from day 1 I am using mainly Shell V from various pumps and have no issue ...many time accelerated....what happens tomorrow or day after can't be guaranteed..

Dude i think the same!!! I live in a colony for Engro employees and the only colours here are silver and white. when i told people i had booked rallye red, they were like "acha nahi lage ga bla bla" but when it came all those people took back what they said

Cleared the trip meter and used cruise at 51kmph on Sharah-e-Faisal from airport to DHA (couldn't go faster because of traffic) and managed to achieve a fuel avg of 15.3kmpl just on the 10th day of my 2017 1.8 Oriel. Fuel used is Shell regular, no mixing with super. Total Km on car are just 280km. Also couldnt avoid some rough terrain in Korangi, the car handled it perfectly and was really comfortable.

So guyz just got the call will be recieving my oriel tomorrow Insha-Allah and for help and reference i booked on 9 september, balance payment on 27 december and hopefully delivery on 3 february 🖒

Hello Everyone. i wanted to ask if anyone is experiencing this: When you go to close the bonnet, you have to drop it from more height than usual. is this normal?

Yes...normal...in my case as well more height to close the bonnet....my bonnet remained open for couple of instances...and I was scratching my head...now I am used to it....soon you would accept theee things....and one advice...take easy...

To all Turbo users, as most of you are getting knocking issue in your brand new cars, why don't you all put together a formal complaint with Atlas, each one of you have legal right to do so even if they put it on fuel even then Altis was wrong on releasing a car which is not compatible with local environment.

Why compromise ?,sue them and do justice to your hard earned money.

At the moment, most of them are too happy to own and drive a Turbo and to boast it in front of their friends and family and in this forum as well. If they lodge a formal complaint, they wouldn't look so good when they boast about their earth shattering fast car.

It's not like West where you complain until you get your right, here keeping in tact the well earned pride is more important.

As long as Turbo is selling.... nothing will change.

I haven't seen a more flimsy bonnet than this! By comparison my 8th Gen's bonnet was solid - even though at the time I used to think that that was very light. I personally like to push the bonnet down and if you apply force at the right spots you never get a dent. But Turbo's bonnet is so flimsy that even I am afraid to push it down and the only option left is to drop it from a height of about 2 feet. This is because its so light that if you drop from a lesser height, there just isn't enough weight to close the clamp!

I have finally taken the plunge by booking a 1.5T Civic. After many interviews with the Honda sales staff, I have come to know the following:

1 - There is NO change in 2017 Civic suspension settings as mentioned in the posts above.
2 - They have tried some software changes to address the tick tick noises from VSA but without any real success. The noises are, as per them, normal noises that are associates with the VSA functionality. Its a noise we have to hear similar to the ABS functionality. They will only do any software alteration if the customer complains.
3 - They have not done any changes to the ECU software to address knocking noises also called pinging. That is purely a fuel related issue. Now that almost all reputable petrol pumps are selling the correct grade of fuel pinging complaints are almost ceased.
3 - The only area where the 2016 and 2017 cars differ is in the firmware of the infotainment unit. As per the sales staff. the unit in the turbo has many glitches which have been resolved. This will be the only difference between the 2016 and 2017 cars. Apparently the 1.8 has no infotainment issues.

In my case the car was booked in the end of Jan 2017 and will be delivered by end of May. I cant wait

Company representative will never ever tell you if they are doing any changes in 2017 model, since its not a upgrade its a silent fix. [applicable only if this is true]

Why tick tick noise only in Turbo ? i believe VSA is also present in Oriel.

There are some old turbo owners who have been using the vehicle for a while and they are still complaining. what does it means ?

I own a 1.8 oriel and its infotainment system has no issues at all. works like a charm. i have also noticed that turbo system has 6 touch buttons on the sides of the screen and oriel has more. that means that there is a slight difference between the two and oriel got the better one.
