Whats L and S for in gears

S is for quicker accelerator response so it is a kind of sports mode.

L increases the engine breaking so when you are coming down mountains, you don't go too fast and car is controllable

To isd from lhr or they other way around when there is slop and hight do i need to shift to L and can i change gear from D to S or L while the car is moving or i need to stop or apply breaks

I didn't Drove automatic or cvt car in my life but this time I also booked oriel so I am also in search of these queries... while surfing on the YouTube what I understood that you can change at any time from d to s and s to d during drive but it is recommended to change below the speed of 50km/h as far as change into or from the L you have to stop the car completely... but I am not sure about all these thing because don't have any personal experience to date.

Do RPM increase in both S and L? What is better choice to quickly over take the other car on road out of S and L?

Updates!
Booked oriel UG on 19th September.
Paid remaining amount on 12th January
Online delivery showed 28th Feb while I got the car on 24th Feb. Dispatch date is mentioned as 18th February.
Never believe what the dealership guys tell you on the phone. Called on Thursday and the lady said ask in 1st week of March for exact delivery date. Visited showroom the next day and my car was there already.
After getting the delivery of my civic i kinda feel sorry for my Gli. It's like the prebreakup wali khamoshi.

Those Hills are no way NEAR as steep as the hills you want to be using L mode on. D will be fine for these hills.

You can shift from and to N,D,S and L while moving. P and R you need to come to a complete stop.

When you change into S, the RPM's increase by 1000. This is useful in Turbocharged cars as the turbo starts to kick in fully at about 4000rpm. so when you need to overtake, S is the way to go

I have owned a 2008 Vario (CVT) City and the CVT in that is no where near as advanced as the CVT's today

you will have to wait at least 3 months. Maybe even more

The excuse agent quoted me 77k for civic 1.8 Islamabad registration. (2740k invoice / filer)
Shall I go for it or ask a few other agents?

How much is reasonable for golden number registration?

I got mine registered in 64k and few hundred without any agent. U should bring the agent down to 70k, I suppose.
