I know theres a lag in cvts but in case of civic, it seems to be much more. Doesnt feel like an 1800 cc engine. I havent driven grande cvti but manual one feels much much more powerful. Plus the engine noise makes u more sick when its at high rpm struggling to speed up.

Thank you for the response guys. I've always gone one size up with my cars so no particular reason to shift from 215 to 225 other than, yes, a little more grip and very few mm of height.
I'm getting the Michelin (February 2017 production) for Rs. 16,500 each. The Yokohama (early 2016 production) for Rs. 15000 each. Old ones are being adjusted for Rs. 20,000 (all 4). Tyres are with warranty and official stamp of import.

Hello everyone. I'm sure this question must have been answered many times here. My 1.8 oriel arrived a few days back and I'm planning to change the tyres to 225. I'm getting Michelin Primacy 3 and Yokohama Advan dB in 225 / 55 / 16. Price difference is not that much. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have installed Michelin Primacy 3. Please note that road noise compared to the BG Luxo is very slightly improved. I was expecting a much higher improvement.

After driving my oriel for about 2 months i am extremely satisfied with the performance of the car. Its a huge improvement over the 8th gen and 9th gen as far as comfort, acceleration, interior & exterior styling, grip & brakes are concerned. Had installed yoko advan db 225 55 16 on the very first day and the ride is buttery smooth without compromise on grip. The only thing that feels inferior to the previous gens is it's Ac performance. I have tried everything from auto to setting it at 22, 20, 18 but it doesnt feels that effective as that of 9th gen.

I second your comments. My experience is exactly the same as yours. The A/C is not up to the mark. I suggest you try the following:

1 - Shut off the rear vent
2 - Switch off the ECO mode
3 - get out of A/C Auto mode by turning the temp knob to Lo and adjust the fan speed to the desired setting

Basically what I am saying is to forget the "climate control" stuff and use it as a Mehran A/C.

Well, its been around 4 months driving a civic oriel and to me it, it feels quite sluggish. The engine noise is too much at 3000 rom and above. And i dont understand the sports mode gimmick. The car roars like crazy without any power.

And sometimes when i push the pedal hard enough, i feel as if the car is trying hard to gain speed but failing miserably.

I wont comment on the driving pleasure and experience but i dont know what roaring sound you are talking about...Civic X sound proofing is much better than the previous generations...atleast i didnt feel engine sound even on S mode or high rpm.....

i already have mentioned previously that don't need to be hardliner on some reading which you maybe getting in previous generation in which lowest level was at 17 which in this generation is 14.5. if you wanna use auto then lower it to your comfortable level rather than expecting good performance say at 24 which worked better in previous generation.

i didn't notice specifically but i think it's MP4 also i use to download english movies in HD which are also there in USB which work fine. if you feel the problem on MP4 even then this problem maybe with you alone for that claim its warranty.

1. Is Audi A3 worth buying if i am planning to buy Civic Turbo?
2. Is Turbo production really on halt? I am planning to order it in Jul and I am only interested in Turbo; not oriel.

Would appreciate your guidance on these.

1.Audi is another class league BUT audi a3 is very small car its head room leg room are very cramped and size is equivalent to honda city its interior shape is not also worth of while 1.2T is very less powerful against 1.5Tcivic and is worth 4.1 million while 1.8T is good option but doesnot look good with a3 plus maintenance and parts are expensive overall i would say if u have more budget go for audi A4 hands-down which is best buy but in this circumstance i will prefer 1.5T civic over audi a3
2.they are not taking new orders but delivering previous orders at very slow rate atm

If you are in Isl/Rwp call 051-2804116 Tyre Gallery, I think they can give you a much better price for Michelin.

I am running Advan dB (Japan made) in my Accord CL9. Size is 215/45R17 (stock size) and they are 2014 make, as I had them installed a couple of years back. Recommended pressure is 35.

My Turbo is running the stock BG 215/55R16. Recommended pressure is 32.

So both tires are exactly the same size, except for the Yokos having a smaller sidewall as compared to BGs. In my experience the Yokos are much quieter and grippier (despite being the same 'outer' size) and are just as hard as the BGs (despite having a smaller sidewall, higher recommended pressure as well as being a couple of years older in terms of make AND use).

Bro, don't get me started on this again! In all my cars, I've used AC at manual setting with minimum temp and minimum fan (during daytime, I turn up the fan as per need, of course). The Turbo's AC is a bit of a let down as compared to my other car - the fan speed is kind of ok, but the chill in the air leaving the vents is nowhere near the same.

In my opinion and the way I see it, A3 is an entry level Audi not a proper 4 door car. Its basically just for satisfaction of driving a German car with 4 rings. The interior is too cramped for a 4 million plus car.

Minimum level of an acceptable family saloon when you go German is A4. This middle order is not worth the buck. If you have to drive alone or 2 adults then A3 might be okay, still the front view and dashboard is cramped. The rear passengers can be children they'd be fine but adults would be in trouble.

But this is me and my thinking. Even if I had 4 million I would never buy an A3 and prefer a used A4 2014 in the same budget. Else Civic is atleast a proper sized family car. Please keep in mind I am not talking about build quality etc, just the small size alone puts me off from A3. And when its not a proper sized saloon to be considered, let alone I would look further into quality and stuff.
