Assalam.Alaikum. Has anyone received their 1.5 Turbo yet? I made a booking on 20th of June and there is still no word from Honda Shara e Faisal. Tried communicating at the numbers given in this thread but it was past office time, will try again tomorrow. If you have more information please share. Is it supposed to take this long? The expected time of delivery was told to be 60 days. And it has passed that already.

I ve booked 1.5T on the same date from ShareaQuaideen, was informed it will arrive by end of Aug or first week of Sept.

Update on 1.8 Experience,

Despite the fact Atlas has raised it compared to international models. Still even after the raise it grips, handles and corners better than 8th Gen. Its much more stable without a shadow of doubt. Sorry 8th Gen your time is over.

Exactly, I've been able to test a 1.8 oriel to limits and man this car can take curves, it is confidence aspiring. the 9th gen gets light from rear end and tends to fishtail at limits (the reason for accidents under novice drivers reaching its limits) where as 10th gen though goes into oversteer too at limits, but it is by design and is fun & easy to tackle with vsc kicking in (will try with vsc off too as on 8th gen hybrid it was more of a nuisance playing safe all the time.

But 8th gen is a passion, being a corolla owner the time 8th gen was launched I kind of spewed hate on it but nothing compares to its design and drive. r18 is no slouch even by today's standards so for 2006 8th gen was lot of a car for our market (add in the manual transmission which is faster than both cvt and prosematic, and the fact that initially more manuals were sold than autos which started making more sense to us in 2008-2009 onwards). 8th gen was also raised for Pakistan if I compare it to the uk model hybrid.

Just to clarify the previous image I posted, the mic is here between the dome lights behind the round holes.. not behind the slits.. some other honda products have it behind slits.On USDM there is even a blue LED here which lit up when phone is paired .

As per yoir image , Pakistan import parts so the slits are there.. but mic is not there. Pakistan don't have alot of stuff like the sun shade vanity light.. they just put a plastic cover.

Some even said the sun shades are like from 9th generation.. not sure about it

Even HRV in US has mic here.. R u guys sure PKDM don't have mic here ?

Btw what is this for .. any idea ?

I am not sure about Civic but in my car there are two dependents... mileage as well as duration. The car supposed to have oil change after 10,000 miles or 12 months which ever comes first.. like I am due for oil change in 15 days but I drove only 1500 miles in last 12 months. Please check your manual about oil life is it dependent on miles or time period as well.

I think there is nothing how one drive, or weather related things effecting the oil change interval. I may be wrong.. but never experienced anything like it

Agreed again Fazal I'm always confused wen I hear guys say here that they change their oil after only 1000 km or after just few months I have never changed oil on my car earlier than 12 months and I don't use more superior oil than any pakwheelers

USDM has it in dome, not sure if PKDM has it..

I was told the same thing. For this reason, and some others, I've changed my booking to the 1.8 Oriel. I expect delivery any day now, InshAllah.

9th confirmed and 10th too perhaps, have this place of mic between these lights but its just empty shell. Pkdm civica get mic on nav unit.

And nopes. 9th doesnt have under the seat AC vents.

after watching this video, an experiment came to my mind, the remote key of vti oriel in 8th gen could be mated to 1.8 vti base model's ecu, what if we mate turbo's key to a 10th gen vti oriel? will it enable remote start as it is available on thai 1.8 models?

They are quite bright, but once parking lights are switched on the DRL go dim.

Yes they go dim because otherwise they would blind everyone at night. Stupid people who get Thai spec LED projector lamps installed in corolla don't get them wired correctly so the DRLs continue to shine as bright as they do in day time.

No because ECU's and engine both are different.
