as cleared already.. DRL means daytime running lights. As soon as the headlight switch ON the DRL goes low in brightness.

As an additional general knowledge. DRL on most of the cars with exception of Civic... cut off/ shut's off when you turn on indicator / signal. means on these cars if you tun a right or left indicator ON, the DRL on that side goes off, to make a turn signal more prominent and visible. as DRL are high intensity and there are chances that pedestrian or any other car driver might not see it properly if DRL remains ON.

Civic X DRL remain constant ON.. There is no federal regulations here in US about it but studies have shown that cutting a DRL off is much better and makes a car signal/ indicator more visible. Chances are Civic follow Germans on this in future and also introduce this feature.

Yes they go dim because otherwise they would blind everyone at night. Stupid people who get Thai spec LED projector lamps installed in corolla don't get them wired correctly so the DRLs continue to shine as bright as they do in day time.

They are quite bright, but once parking lights are switched on the DRL go dim.

after watching this video, an experiment came to my mind, the remote key of vti oriel in 8th gen could be mated to 1.8 vti base model's ecu, what if we mate turbo's key to a 10th gen vti oriel? will it enable remote start as it is available on thai 1.8 models?

I also had the same idea and I think it's very much possible, our 1.8 might be only lacking the key fob having remote engine start button. Thai 1.8 civic also has remote engine start.

I think its more than just a Key Fob thing.. On 9th generation here in US, Honda was selling the system as an accessory for around 200 plus installation. The system had a module which connects some how to the ECU . Remote engine start is standard feature on USDM Civic except the base model.

I am not an expert and testing [ as you guys think] is not be bad idea..

Assalam.Alaikum. Has anyone received their 1.5 Turbo yet? I made a booking on 20th of June and there is still no word from Honda Shara e Faisal. Tried communicating at the numbers given in this thread but it was past office time, will try again tomorrow. If you have more information please share. Is it supposed to take this long? The expected time of delivery was told to be 60 days. And it has passed that already.

There are many people including me who have pre booked the car during first week and still haven't recieved it yet. If Atlas goes according to the sequence then you will have to wait for sometime.

I think that might be due to 9th gen not having push start but like you said we will know the answer when someone tries it.

did you check with them if there was any adapter harness or something (instead of cutting the wires), as this would not be a simple plug and play upgrade.

The led lights have a different harness, and it is not plug and play and there will be some wire cutting. In any case he included the installation in the 160k, but I wonder if it would be worth it. I will wait for some reviews before risking 160k and the electrical warranty.

It for sure would look great and I'm sure better lighting but the wire cutting is an issue. Do you know which country they sourced it from?

The shop keeper was mentioning that the imports from Thailand have been banned I don't know if that is true or not. I guess he sourced the initial lot from Thailand and now probably from the US according to him.
