So I noticed a damp smell in my month old car today. Apparently the carpet of the rear right side was wet. I have 7d mats so it doesnt seem possible for water to have come from within the cabin. What could be the reason ? Will it be covered under warranty ?

Any suggestions for Yokohama C-drive 225-55R16 as their thread pattern looks good and side wall is more like flat which balance the fat body of X. Are these tyre hard etc?? Please advise

I am using C drive on X for the last 20k but in 215/55 size and totally in love with them. They are a perfect balance of drive, braking and comfort for me atleast. Not as much soft as Advan (and not that hard either) but then they have other advantages that I prefer.

Recently when i was looking through the empty oil cans of my X i have came to know that one can was 0W20 SN...the rest all are 5w30...my car is Oriel and almost 21K driven...so uptill now the oil has been changed for four times...thing is that i coudnt find when 0w20 was used in my car......wanted to ask if anybody else has experienced the same..it seems honda uses both types of oil in one car...or they are so much unaware that they dont know what type of oil to be used in which car....

Yeah they do that (happened with my previous City when they used to interchange between 10W30 and 5W30). Better to be specific with them, next time you go. Mine is Turbo, so they know that 0W20 is default, that's why I don't have to ask them specifically every time.

True lol but overall the car is fine other than standard issues which all models kinda come with. This one has more but QC Ka no idea what Atlas is up to.

Only thing going back there is the AC vents/duct from under the seats including from under the driver seat straight back and under the front passenger seat going straight back. This isn’t the same as the rear AC vents which are in the centre.

A couple of people I know have gone to Ceramic Pro, so yes feedback is positive regarding them. Personally, I'm against these coatings due to the following reasons:

car can get scratched / hit easily, especially in Karachi, so do we get the coating again, if we are getting panel repainted, or in any case the look of the car gets spoiled
coating can still develop fine scratches / swirls, so there still needs to be periodic maintenance of the coating, like maybe visiting Ceramic Pro again. The life, especially in Karachi, isn't going to be as long as they claim
only special / specific products should ideally be used to wash / polish / wax / maintain the finish once it's coated. I don't like to have my hands tied, so that I can take it to whatever wash I want, use whatever products I want on the paint such as quick detailer, spray wax, wax, polish, clay, etc. Carpro, for example, is one company which makes specific products to be used on 'coated' finishes.

A BIG NO..... I have black like yours..... the easy way is to have a Quick spray wax..... you are good to go with..... especially to avoid waxing the car in this this humid weather

I think you have got wrong info about glass coatings. My white Oriel X is coated by Honda Center Rwp. It has been one and a half year now and I am fully satisfied with it. The point that you may hit your car and may need re-coat again? yes in case of a major accident causing damage to body metal parts you may need to coat only that part and then after few days a maintenance coat (cost 2000 Rs) for whole body and you are all done. There will be no difference between old and new coated part.

Now if there is slight damage to bumpers or body kit and you need to repaint then just get a good painter who can spray your vehicle with light hand multiple layers and at the end spray lacker (dont know technical name of it) you will Not need glass coat for that small portion of bumper due to shine of lacker paint and then compound for new paint after 48 hrs.

The only bad thing about coating is you need to care about it which you need to do anyway for you car if you are enthusiast. Maintenance coat is required every 2-3 months cost around 2000 PKR.

There are many advantages of glass coating as per my experience.

• No water marks during rain. Water slips on surface very fast
• Very easy washing in home just by only water.
• Quick cleaning in home by a blower and all dust will fly away.
• Resist scratches on front part of car by flying small crush etc (From a truck traveling in front of you on highway).
• Very easy to remove birds sh..t or flies dead bodies after motorway trip at night.
• No hard work required to apply wax every other day. I used waxes for 10 years and believe me no wax stays for more than 2 days in our environment.
• No paleness due to waxes.

Coatings are expensive but they worth it.

This all is my personal experience and experience of others I met them with their car coated. You may differ anyway.

Bhai if you are satisfied i am happy to see 1st customer. Well coating are not expensive though, as other detailing product. Step aside the cost. Well you have hand on experience you know better. But i am slight orthodox, would you like to share experience with coating, maintenance schedule.
you are right, most of waxes and sealant quality is checked by beading parameters, it is the problem of western country. In Karachi no rain we face uv, dust dirt and grim. It is our major problem.

Cant say anything about Karachi weather conditions and required protection method but for here in Punjab I am not the only one getting benefit of coating but there are many who are enjoying hassle free 24/7 shining car (Specially dark colors), not only Honda but other brands as well. As I said early, I used waxes for many years but coating is more easy and better option.

About maintenance, I am just doing a maintenance coat after 2-3 months and Coating gets new. One can feel the difference even by touching the very slippery and shining body by hand.

In Lahore, dirt is a major problem, especially during the last few years when half of Lahore was dug up for orange train. There was so much dust pollution that the car needs a wash every day it was parked out on street at night (areas near Shahi Qila). Due to the pollution in industrial/old city congested areas, heavy smog is also common now almost every winter. I agree with bhasnain, glass coating is not useless at all no matter it is Karachi or Lahore or any other city in Pakistan
