Civic Turbo May 2017 here. Considering the dollar hike recently, the car now seems like a steel at 3.15 mil.
Only run on high octane, which after reading the posts here may not have been the best idea. Since octane levels are boosted artificially which cause more harm in the long run. Please correct me if Im wrong.
Planning on switching to 50 regular/50 hi octane, with the insane prices of petrol these days. Comments?
Yes, the car is a bit temperamental. In the sense that you need to treat the engine carefully (proper heat up/cool down), expensive fuel, expensive engine oil etc. (which is part and parcel of any German import etc) Other minor/major (ish) issues have been well documented on this forum along with total lack of professionalism of Honda's customer support. Overall built quality seems lacking unfortunately even when compared to Corolla Grande.
But it all pays for its self with driving pleasure. People say turbo is not useful in Pakistan traffic. I have to disagree. Turbo is probably the most useful for a quick overtake and getting off the line. The torque this machine produces is just insane. Grip/drive quality is better than Grande (my opinion)
The car has done 10k miles, since I was out of the country for a few months this year.
That being said, the 18 month inspection is coming up. If we could have the seniors on this forum comment on what's to be specifically looked at. I really want to check out the plugs which I know Honda will insist are fine. A new air filter probably. Anything that needs to be cleaned/changed out/inspected?
Thank you
Apologies for the long post
