Bro i have heard this claim in my friends circle. May be 9th gen is lighter. One point against Honda is they are using same engine since 2006.

Yes 9th (Prosmatec) doesn’t outrun a 10th in a drag. Though these daily commute family cars are absolutely pointless for such a thing and it doesn’t make a difference much in usage, I have tried multiple times in friendly runs just for the sake of it and 9th Gen stays behind
I think CVT is the reason 10th gen beats 9th gen. 9th gen takes its time shifting gears while this 10th gen goes on and on a like a plane lol

turn on AC at a bit lower temperature.
On climate control at auto, it should not be foggy as ac remains on if it still becomes foggy with ac on, check the bottle attached condenser as its suposed to clear moisture..my bad i forgot its name

bought oriel x after 9th gen civic. 9th gen had same grande type initial quick launch and more responsive feeling in initial due to auto and feel light but oriel x is faster and will beat in drag quite sure and experienced in alot just due to the cvt factor as auto give quite lag while gear changing.
