I am into this safe drag racing alot alot but i always kind of regret after doing it plus try to have it after 12am under total safe condition on Islamabad expressway and kashmir highway grande when push hard form intial start feel more responsive without a doubt and civic x oriel kind of heavy same is the case with swift 1.3 vs city 1.3 drag swift look alot more responsive but whatsoever in drag they go neck to neck. In case sport mode of both civic and grande give an instant rise of 1000rpm instantly but overall cant find as such acceleration as in case of vezel. when the race is not from 0 and from basically 70-80kmh civic x takes the lead in that case without a doubt in every situation we had race. But from initial start its difficult to take lead by civic on grande but i think so no one have tested the L GEAR IN CIVIC X GIVES IT A QUITE EDGE IN INSTANT ACCELERATION FROM ZERO in drag and helped take on grande from start we tested it alot but it always depend in end who got better traction and instant acceleration Biggest issue in civic x is that it response is heavy and high speed are not felt as such which give it look of sluggish but that not totally the case on ground.. will try to upload videos have of drags almost 15+ consisting 2 diff x grande and 3turbos.
In end what we go both are almost equal but slight edge to grande in almost all cases from stop launch and edge to civic from non zero launch or at 80kmh + between both.

To start with is the Local duty 1700cc barrier which will be relaxed & capped at 2000cc in the upcoming budget and further reductions on local hybrids manufacturing incentives.

New entrants as well as Honda Atlas & especially Toyota Indus have long been yearning for and had immense pressure on government to encourage diversify product line and demand government to put a complete halt on imported vehicles and relax duties upto 3000cc mark.
By Made in Pakistan moto... Locally manufactured cars will only available in the market.
What could be the future possibilities and anticipated vehicles if duty is relaxed upto 2000cc..

The new upcoming corolla line up is rumored to have 2 variants a 1.8l hybrid and 2000cc petrol and vios full spec 1200cc & later a strip down econo 1000cc trim respectively.

Kia sportage 2000cc is already into production while Hyundai Sonata 2.0t on roads for testing so does the VW Amarok, Proton X70 to be in the market by next year.. 2000cc tax relaxation seems like a true proposition to trigger local production, employment and revenue generation by attracting semi luxury /imported car buyers segment like used premio, Accord, vezel, x1, a4s, camry.... 35 to 50 lac buyers.

Yeah I agree with this. I got civic x again and it feels sluggish due to its dimensions and CVT but in actual it isnt slow.

I have 2017 one and only 2 months remain for its warranty to end. I hope I don't get screwed after the expiry as uptil now the car is perfectly fine Alhamdullilah

A friend of time who faced no issue so far got steering changed as his warranty was passed by 1 year. Honda Fort assisted him in changing the part number. Don't wait for fault to haunt you . Force them to change bhai..

Most of my friends having civic X 1.8 says that they feel sluggishness due to a bit slow throttle response than Corolla. I have not tested civic to limits , so no idea.

One interesting thing we found was a 9th gen able to beat 10th gen in a drag. I know engines are same but is it because of of cvt? Not sure.

never ever use paddle shifters / M mode in a drag race.... you will loose....

Ment for gear braking function in CVTs.

G I have tried but i think it comes down to shifting mechanism and tactics. But lowering ratio after 60kmph gives a serious boost alongwith sport on. Throttle response is pretty good in 2zr
