Yes , FL has auto retractable side mirrors. Means when you lock the car from remote the mirrors retracts by itself and again on unlock it retracts again to open position. But rectract button needs to be in disengaged position.

No you can not move all windows to close from remote but use the key in Door and move clockwise 2 times and all windows will be closed.

I also got a new white color and want to do paint protection of the outer body, I had the previous experience in Dubai to have it on the new car and car stay shiny glossy and scratchless for about 2-3 years.

why would you wana induce knock? You can induce knock in a perfectly healthy car.
This is no way to test a turbocharged engine.
Take it to a dealership or buy a compression test guage n perform compression test.
Apart from other things ensure history of car maintenance is available..

Knocking is not the criteria as you won't find knocking in any car since the software upgrade Oct 2017...... Now even on continuous regular petrol like that of my collegue it do not knock..... Check the neatness, cleanliness and how mint it looks from inside out is the key factor. plus for more satisfaction ask the owner that you will pay the Honda 3S check up ... Tassali kay liye.... cross check the odo with service book ..... check for the car if it is repainted. one piece touch / showered except bonnet is acceptable.

You cant roll it back up. Maybe its for safety. The only way is to take the metallic key out of the fob and turn it towards the locking position twice and keep it there. it will close all the windows and the sunroof.

I know every car can knock. Since ive never driven turbo civic i wanted to know at which specific time/speed/rpm it knocks just to be in my knowledge before I buy one.

It doesn’t knock anymore. If it does, it means the fuel is very bad. Choose a fuel station you know sells good fuel and all will be well. I’ve tried PSO, Shell, Total, Attock, Hascol, it doesn’t knock.

Before the ECU update, my Turbo used to knock at every speed on any fuel, accelerate a little above 2k rpm and you’ll hear it loud and clear HOWEVER it doesn’t do it anymore. Hence no need to worry.

Heat will kill the Turbo, so slow your roll during the hot summer humid months.

Typically on WOT in D (even more so with AC on and hot weather I guess), soon as you gun it it will knock and hesitate initially and then take off. The sound is clearly audible, even a newbie to a Turbo can easily make it out. If not on first WOT then maybe couple of times floor it, let go, floor it, let go. If doesn't even knock on multiple WOT runs, then it's good.

A good 1.5T has razor sharp throttle response, again something which a newbie to a Turbo will easily notice. On 'regular' fuel, that response diminishes a bit even though you (as Turbo newbie) might not feel the knocking or hesitation. And final stage is of course the clear audible knocking, that I mentioned above.

I wanted to get something checked on my Turbo. Have been experiencing noticeable 'lag' from standstill after which it immediately picks up speed. More lag than what I think is normal. The Honda folks don't know shit about it. I've had the throttle body cleaned, but that didn't make a difference.

Is there a good, knowledgable mechanic in the twin cities?

I am facing the Steering rack problem again after first one changed under warranty.I would think the warranty is still valid till expiry of 2yrs.I suspect that maybe they didn't change anything and may have stuffed it with some grease because its not understandable why this problem should arise again and again.My car is driven very sparingly and it has not done even 1000kms after the 2nd Steering Rack Assembly was put in.Any comments and advice from forum members.

I think they changed with other car assembly. I have heard that there is a new part number. Get it checked and change to new part number

After software update only bad quality fuel and bad kismat can bring slight knock before it corrects itself.
I wonder why you desperately wana bring knock? Do you wana reject a car by bringing a knock?

Ok, Do as I exactly tell.
1. Open the Hood.
2. Leap ahead on Engine Bay from Battery Side.
3. Try to Find Steering Rack Assembly at the back of the engine bay.
4. Once Spotted, look for big Cylinder part (like a motor) on front passenger Seat side of the steering.
5. You will see a manufacturing date of steering rack.
6. If it is almost same or maximum 3 months before manufacturing date of your car, then its old assembly.
7. If it corresponds to roughly 3 months before the day you sent your car for steering replacement, then its new.

The part number is new only in Honda Lists. The part marking on the assembly are same as old ones. I got mine replaced in End Of May 19 and it was manufactured in Mar 19. It has same part number as of old. Once i took the sealed pack assembly back to the parts managers shop at fort, he checked his system and said that markings visible on the rack are of sub part numbers (like) cylinder etc and the overall part number against the lot of my assembly is different.
He said that inside the electric motor box, the gear ratios have been changed as previous assemblies gear ratios were slightly different from the originally designed ratios. It happened specially to the lot sent to Honda Atlas.
