It's time to change my civic x tyres as it has stock general tyres and I have 20k plus km’s on ODO. Please suggest me your valuable suggestions regarding tyres. I am looking for
1) noiseless
2) smooth and comfortable ride

I have two tyre models in consideration
Yokohama blue earth
continental cc6

This is kixx 0w-30 with PAO technology. Should I use this oil in civic turbo? How does this oil compare to oils such as total 5w-30?

My freind is using this oil it is great according to him he is using it in his 1.5 turbo and n one turbo

Yes you can use as it is recommended in OM. There is no match of PAO oils ( True Fully Synthetic developed chemically and not obtained from fossil fuels)....

On the other hand Total 5W-30 is having Group 2 /3 base oil with superior synthetic type additive package having less life than TRUE PAO oils.

If you are living near by Faisal Town you can visit Makki Oil & Tariq Oil store....

Makki oil adjacent to Fazal sweets & Yasir Broast on Peco Road near Akbar Cowk.

What is the Limit for Gear Oil Change for 1.5 Turbo Civic?
Honda Fort Lahore has given me a big list with Gear Oil change at 40,000km

Throttle Body Clean + Brake Service (Pads i will change also with it) + ECU check + Wheel Alignment + Wheel Balancing+ Gear Oil Change = 11700 Rs (Labor Only)

Brake Pads +Gear Oil (5760 Rs) = Nearly 43K Rs

If i get Brake Pads from Bilal Autos Neela Gumbad their prices are still better like 12000 Rs (Front Pads). Is their any difference ? My Personal past experience Honda original Pads only comes with new car....after that when ever you take Brake Pads from them, they are all below par

All this is recommended at 40,000 for 1.8 as well so it is safe to assume should be done for Turbo too

Change the CVT oil only at the moment..... Rest of the things can be segregated as per budget....

Yup, transmission oil specially automatics and moreover CVT shouldn’t be delayed at all

I am planning to buy Honda civic in January 2020 and need to decide on following aspects:

1. i buy Civic Hardtop or Civic Oriel? as i come to know that only 3 features are additional now in oriel i.e. push start, alloy wheels and sun roof. so with these 3 features, spending extra 2.5 lakh is worth the money as basic is of 3.5 million while oriel is of 3.75 million

2. Multimedia unit with navigation should be bought from Honda or after market? which one is better and worth the money?

3. Leather seats are worth the money considering warm weather of Karachi?

4. I want to change the tyres from Euro to some imported brand. which brand is most suitable to this car?

People are requested to provide their valuable suggestions, based on their experience which will be really helpful for me in making a better decision.

Its not about the minimal features but also about the resale factor. If you face 5% depreciation on Oriel you will face 10% on hardtop. For me the alloys are a must in a car and those alone reduce the gap further. If you plan to pass it on in the family and make it last for a generation get hardtop. Otherwise even to sell after 5 years stretch yourself to get an Oriel because you won’t get calls in the first place for a hardtop advertisement let alone good offers.

Few years down the lane a used car buyer will surely prefer to buy an Oriel 2018 with similar mileage instead of your 2020 Hardtop even if the price is slightly more than your hardtop. Ultimately for him it will be a used car so mileage and condition will be more important than model year having same shape.

Definitely do go for Oem navigation because it’s totally worth it. About the leather seats I have personally given my opinion on it many times here that the stock factory leather is worse than aftermarket artificial leather poshish in terms of durability, look and softness. Many people will disagree with me but my experience makes me give this opinion. The 3 times less cheaper aftermarket seats in good quality soft leatherite are much better than that horrible poor standard material given by Atlas
