By the way econ on with ktuner means the car goes back to factory tune. Turn off econ and it switches to ktuner map

What's the safest size for getting good custom rims, to give a low profile-ish look, and not messing with the suspension (or these 2 things can't go together)?

More the increase in rim size, lower the profile gets to stay close to same overall diameter as stock size. In 16” with 215 width the profile is 55: 215/55-16, the same 215 width in 17” is having a lower profile 50: 215/50-17 meaning the profile is lowered because it has to compensate increase in rim size

The safest option would be 17” rim size with equivalent stock setup offered by Honda elsewhere i.e. 215/50-17 without making any major difference in the drive and comfort.

I wouldn’t recommend non oem rims. Try sticking to either authentic branded rims or original honda options. Stay away from cheap replicas. Also you gotta keep the rim width in mind. There is a minimum and maximum width of tyre a certain rim width can reasonably accommodate

Guys, i'm travelling from Karachi to Islamabad on my Civic X 1.8. It's around 6000 km driven. I changed the stock tyres to Goodyear few months back. The oil was changed to 0w20 in June this year as part of its maintenance. Anything else i need to bear in mind regarding the car and also road conditions before i travel this Friday?

Change oil as it is 6 months which is maximum interval .

This 6 month rule is now old school and was more concerning for mineral based oils. The world started shifting to synthetic oils for their properties amongst which one of them is: Synthetic oils don’t degrade and don’t change their chemical structure over time like a mineral oil does

So my common sense says it is okay to keep a synthetic oil inside your engine for even upto an year if your mileage isn’t achieved

After extensive research i came to the conclusion that always verify the source for mental satisfaction.

1. Oil thing is tricky, verify the source. 80% oil in the market is recycled locally and packed like new which is an illegal practice. Honda oil with Total Parco collaboration gives a satisfaction that the oil is genuinely new. More over the open market source should also be verified as every harry & dick claiming to be imported is not true. There are a lot of oils having authentic source like friends using Amsoil, Liquimoly, Royal Purple, Honda Total, Total, Valvoline, Shell, Mobil 1, Kixx etc from verified source. It is my personal opinion that Kixx is inferior to rest of the world renowned brand. Rest its personal choice.
   Although there are so many superior oils but Honda specifically tailored lube oil from Total for its cars so its satisfactory rather good.
   Its just like we have tailored " Valvoline " for our gas generators.

2. Regarding VIC google says it is japanese but i doubt just like 2 nob Lepon filters flooded in the market. Atleast dealership supplied oil filter or some open market sources giving it (Made in Thailand) is the one i prefer keeping in view the doubts here and there. Paper element quality & microns is same for Thai & Jap. The canister which in some incidents ruptured along with its O ring etc should also be considered so i will prefer Honda OEM filter (Thailand) either from 3S or reliable sources like Bilal Autos, Sajjad Autos Nilagumbad.
   90% oil filters what they claimed to be are not in actual in open market so stay away.

The oils so called as Synthetic SN being poured by 3S or after market are derived from Group 2 mineral base oils primarily. These oils must be replaced after 6 months although Honda recommends 3 months in the manual.
The PAO oils (True Fully Synthetic) oils (Drain intervals 15000km - 25000 km) expensive too which are not normally offered in Pakistan has the replenishment period of 1year time based if the mileage is low.

So what do you say about Lepon OF available in the market? as I have started using in my second car i.e. 7th Gen Civic EXi in last 2x oil changes? Previously I was using Guard.

Take motorway from sukkur. Get fuel tank filled before going on motorway. You wont find any fuel station till multan. Avoid unnecessary stops on M5. Take an exit from multan interchange (shah shams tabrez interchange) it will bring you on N5. Get fuel tank filled and get back on motorway. You can reach isb with this fuel bcoz it is 550 kms from there. Continue on M4(multan - fsd motorway) as motorway will bifurcate after Abdul Hakeem. Washrooms on some service areas are functional on M5. First fully functional rest area is after faisalabad and it is 650 kms from sukkur.

Again i would say if you are lucky enough to get it from original source than its OK....

Well, I am not sure about the source as its a dealer in Isb name Quality Autos in G-9, from where I am getting it. I have no idea where to get the original Oil Filters.

Then stick to OEM 3S based OF..... almost identical / little diff in price and satisfaction 100%

How about this one. I remember that similar filter came off my car when I got its second oil changed at 10k kms. Honda atlas doesnt have this one instead they have a sky blue coloured Thai made. The oil change guy I visit has this filter and he recommends it. This one feels lighter in weight as compared to Thai filter. Do you think this one would be genuine?

Done 10K periodic maintenance, air filter was replaced.Discount on services at honda bin qasim. very courteous staff as it is new. Oil was pour ow20 , lube oil filter
