I need a suggestion. I recently found out about the authorized distributor of Valvoline engine oils in Pakistan. Now since Valvoline is no doubt better than what I'm currently using, which is Total quartz 5w-30, I thought of using Valvoline synpower 5w-30 which also happens to be API SN plus rated. What I need to know is that can I extend the OCI's from 5000kms to 6000kms? Considering Valvoline is of much better quality than Total quartz. The oil filter which I'm using is Vic which is rated to be used for more than 5000kms and the vehicle is civic turbo. Oh and btw, this oil is rated to be used till 8000kms

Yup can safely use till 6k. I recommend buying original honda filter though.

How much do you guys use the Genuine Honda Air Filter on your turbo?
I change it at 6000-7000 km since it gets dirty at that much mileage.
But in the Owners Manual it says 30k km

Air Filter replacement isn’t religiously supposed to be as per mileage. It is something which is linked more with the type of atmosphere and air quality.

For example: a person living in clean area will get more miles before needing filter replacement compared to someone living in an Industrial area or suburban outskirts with undeveloped roads.

Air filter life replacement totally depends on air quality of the area car is being used in.

Umm, I change it after every 5000kms. In my turbo and wagon R . Although I do feel that air filters of both of my car's can easily last longer than 5000kms

I did some research online and came to a conclusion that Vic filters are somewhat better than Honda's filters. I mean I can be wrong but it's just what I believe. Vic filters are made in Japan and Honda's are made in Thailand. Kindly correct me if I've come to a wrong conclusion .

I was thinking to upgrade the rim size to 225/r18/40
What pros and cons am I gonna face ? Does doing this kills your mileage and actual speed showing in meter ? Plus what is stretched tiers that mostly people do on their rims ? Is that good or should be avoided to have tires stretched on the rims ???
