Your ride will get extremely hard and also it will damage the suspension if you don’t drive on carpeted roads. Potholes will kill the suspension in this setup.

About stretched tyres you are risking your life because a stretched tyre isn’t sitting properly at the bead of rim and you are exposed to tyre failure. The lower diagram is of a stretched tyre to explain how it isn’t stable at the rim. The edge can come off easier from the rim

About overall diameter: 225/40-18 tyre is slightly smaller than stock size, the diameter of 235/40-18 is more matching to stock 215/55-16. Your fuel average will drop max 1 kmpl on 225 width and more than that on 235 though

My suggestion: go for 215/50-17 or 225/50-17 otherwise for 18s make sure you don’t drive on rough roads

Someone already mentioned fake Vic’s floating in market. Secondly, Vic japan is good but I would trust oem filters 9/10 times over them.

I don’t think it will impact the ride quality since internationally the Civic comes with 18 inch wheels as standard with an option to go for 19 inch.

What you said is valid only for carpeted roads or highways, not valid for our uneven road conditions. Its basic layman explanation: when you compare a low profile tyre and bigger rim with a higher side wall you are reducing the softer rubber side wall resulting in a harder wheel overall.

USA doesn’t have stupid potholes and jerks like our roads and moreover the suspension is also optimised to compensate. Even with 17” rims the suspension on US models had fluid filled rear bushings

Most of the urban roads in US are not even as good as ours. But thats true that their cars especially suspensions are too gud.

I think my Civic's Battery is dying out on me, did not start in the morning. Had to jump start. I have 2 questions
1. my car is around 1.5 years old, is it normal to change battery in this span?
2. which battery (and from where in lahore) should i get? and the cost please.

Go for Atlas Hybrid, mine is still working for the last 2.5 years and costed me 4500 with exchange of old battery

Stay away from dry battery as its a gamble. Some owners have reported dry battery giving up in 6 months and some last longer so its a gamble and nuisance

Im using 215/50/17. Will be there be any problem if I drop the an inch or inch and half with all stock settings?

Now I can write something about this tyre because I have been using it for some time now. Generally, there's only one thing I can say - they're marvellous! I bought my car with stock tyres fitted and I threw them out quickly as they were completely useless - I really feared to use those. Continental UC6 give me a feeling of safety and driving comfort. I can definitely recommend. Continental UC6 tyres as a great choice.

You can go for 215-50R17 eyes closed. You will not feel any bad effect on fuel economy and ride comfort.

The suspension of X is fragile not proving to be good quality wise....

A friend just found Z links, ball joints and tie rod ends loose at just 60k kms . Replaced Today with new one COST 28K Rs. Labour not included. Parts procured genuine from Bilal Autos Lahore

Price and where to get them in Karachi.What guarantee that those are not smuggled as there is no company dealer for continental tyres in Karachi atleast.
