Just found out today that my official leather seats that I got in Civic turbo have been damaged... by my clothes? No one else drives my car including my driver and this has just baffled me. Now after a closer inspection, I think these are FAKE leather seats?! That is seriously misleading advertisement if it is true.

Wow that's just absurd. Has to be some sharp object (such as any adornment on the clothes one wears) because that's ripped up. And yes it's fake leather.

so then which locally manufactured car comes with real factory fitted leather ? If the leather is fake then why honda mentions leather seats on their website.

revo/fortuner offer full leather seats. But the seats on civic/grande are only partial leather, not complete leather seats. Which means the sides,bolstering and back portion of the seat is made of VINYL and only the central area on which you actually sit is leather. This damage is on Vinyl and not on leather area.

Like I have been always saying Atlas has the crappi_t leather they can manage. The quality is worse than even cheapest aftermarket rexine seats. Worst ever seat material I have seen in life is Atlas Leather

what about the new premium black leather in rs turbo as mentioned by honda on their website i think that is good quality leather ?

I haven’t experienced that one, only time can tell how horrible that one is but I wouldn’t expect it any different in quality. It probably only has a different color but same cheap cost saving material

I think Atlas got low quality metal sheet prone to rust. Those poor welds which were in launch units have also got this rust.

Can you geolocate these units shown in pix? I guess it is not Karachi and imagine what will happen to cars in areas near to beach.

AOA everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well in this harsh situation of Coronavirus Pandemic, and may ALLAH bless us all and keep us safe. I have a few questions regarding my Civic X 2018 (it is only driven 8,000 KM), actually I am resident in England, and I left my car back home in my home in the garage all packed and it would stay there for almost 3 years untouched, I was just doing a research that what would be the service that I would need to get done for my car when I get back to Pakistan, some of my questions are as following:
1. Will I be supposed to change all oils/fluids in my car, i.e. Engine oil, Break oil CVT oil etc
2. Will I need to change my Break Pads.
3. Will I need to change any kind of belts in my car, i.e. Drive belt, CVT belt or any other.
4. What about the petrol that is already left in my car's fuel tank, it was nearly 3 quarters full with Hi-Octane (I have used my car on HOBC "Hi-Octace" since the first day I bought it)?
4. Any thing/service other than stated above that I would need to get serviced or changed when I get back.

Please do reply with any information other than this that would help me as well.

Would really appreciate help.

It is better to have someone start the car and have small drive through to keep it in running condition. If you can entrust someone, this will be best

Change engine oil, and refill with fresh protein after draining the old one

Take car to 3S for inspection

Rest everything should be fine.

Only 1 car out of these 4 is from Karachi. Rest are from Lahore. The welding is not the main issue, the real reason seems to be lack of proper paint coats in these internal areas. Do notice this rust is on the inside of rubber strips meaning that even regular washing water does not contact these areas.

There is no primer or any other coating under the flakes of paint that have come off. It seems to be bate metal and direct paint on them that is why it came off in the form of thin flakes of paint exposing direct metal underneath
