Ok coming to the point of follow up and investigation, this video was posted on Facebook by @fazalwahab11375 about 3 months after collecting cases of door rust in Civic X and complete opportunity to Atlas to respond to this issue which as I mentioned was answered with the statement this is not covered in warranty and furthermore a few cars of Civic X community from Lahore have been fixed at the workshop of a very known senior Pakwheeler after Atlas dealerships asked insane amounts to fix this which only God knows if those dealerships would have done again properly or not.
This senior Pakwheeler happens to be a detailing pioneer in Pakistan (I am not taking his name here because I didn’t seek his permission prior to writing this) so you probably do know who he is and has a detailing studio and a workshop as well.
Now about the analysis, this area where you are mentioning moisture trapping is towards the inside of the door between skin and internal frame and surprisingly that hollow area had no corrosion or rust after door assembly was removed. These specific examples clearly show lack of primer underneath because of the way this paper thin layer of paint has gotten removed and chipped off as if there was nothing binding it to a treated metal underneath.
Now after this video was posted it somehow reached a few high ups in HACPL after useless earlier efforts and though I don’t know the details this has now probably initiated some inquiry at HACPL to research on this issue. Although this is premature but they have been collecting VIN numbers of these cars to see if the issue came in a specific batch or is spread across multiple batches. Although there has been no update on the matter yet because of lockdown but multiple cars in Civic community facing this issue are all from different batches and range from 2016 to 2018
Lets see if they rectify their mistake or simply give another lollipop to the consumer. I have been on to this issue and not just posting tabloids here but infact am in contact with HACPL for these corrosion cases in Civic X. Its just that I am not posting lamha ba lamha khabar on these forums.
And no there are no clogs and also this thing is mainly restricted to doors and these specific areas in all cars around locks, behind rubber stoppers and door welds.
And by the way the cars in the video are just a trailer of the cases I can give you data on a lot of more similar cases. This is not limited to a few cars but many (not ALL as well either)
Any member here who wants to get his car included in the upcoming corrosion related inquiry may PM me.
