I want to ask is it good decision for someone to opt for 2zz ge instead 2zr fe with CVT transmission.
One more thing to ask what is cost of swapping of 2zz ge with transmission these days.

If someone want to drive it mostly like achay insaan ki tara but occasionally doing pulls rather than speeding and pulling all the time will this swap a reliable option to daily driver.
BTW the guy is preferring normal AT than CVT.

Yes, if done properly.
The CVTs in scrap yards are almost out of service.

Cvt needs pampering like you have a German.
It just takes away the element of Toyota's reliability tbh.

Based on my personal experience new gen 2zz with electronic throttled are not available so putting an old engine with new on board electronics will make some regular visits to workshops.
If these conditions and visits don't bother you go for 2zz if not then find 2ZR with A/T transmission the 1zR AT transmission is bolt on and plus A/T transmission ecus of 2ZR are readily available so it will lbe a good decision.

Will there be any price change in 2ZR with AT as CVT variant is expensive.
One guys in peshawar claimed to have 2zz with ETB but he is charging too much 600k for complete setup including wiring ecu etc this excludes installation charges.

Nah 2zz with etb is a bolt on alteration as most of jdm are wire optb so new gen zr series will produce more smooth power and provide best fuel economy.
Don't opt for dual vvti as it has its own pros and cons.
Go for single valve Matic vvti and auto or CVT doesn't make any cost difference at all
Just 20- 30 thousand difference only

swapped 2zz drive by wire in my 9.5 gen PKDM corolla Altis, its beast on road and is reliable as any toyota since i managed to get grip to grip wiring and has CAT in place so it does 9.5 KMPL in karachi and long 13KMPL if driven carefully. I does 100KMPH in like 8 seconds. However if matted with MT its becomes wild horse short shifting gears will give you butterflies in tummy..
