Fake, not fake, marketing stunt, attention seeking, experiment, leaked document or whatever that Atlas price list of Civic 2022 was a few days ago, the hike in even that was 6 lakh rupees which didn’t happen in even a vehicle like Fortuner back in 2017 on model change which at that time was same 5 Million territory and on that 6 lakh many people are reacting too good to be true hence telling car makers that we deserve more price increase and are willing to pay more. Probably this is the kind of reaction they wanted to see and confirm if more increase should be done or not and thanks to such reactions
If Atlas is shortsighted and planning to launch an exclusive product for a niche market by all means they should overprice it and enjoy sales for an year, if they are long sighted and plan to enjoy more sales they shold price it smartly and more importantly in its own category. Its still a C segment sedan not D or even a C+75% or a D-25% segment.
Already their City is limping as compared to its previous models, unless they plan on doing the same to Civic they will need to be careful a bit
