I may be wrong but i believe models with the M-CVT have to be detuned for the gearbox. I shall dig further into the difference of the gearboxes

well if we agree and believe on two transmissions, I expect the 1.5T with lower trims M-CVT might be in 160 to 170HP power band. the RS will be then 175HP.

there is no adpotation with civic. prices are almost the same as present 1.5t. there is no surprise as such other then the RS price which no one really care about.

Yes, but im more interested in how much whp difference the gearbox makes as it already has the lower bhp due to the detune and i expect the M to be less hp efficient as the LL though just barely

yes but that was when 1.5t was variant for the lovers. now its basic. random uncle buying civic for family doesn't care about 1.5t they want a good decent car. imo price is quite high specially considering the post mentiones "tentative" price. guarantee it will be higher once deliveries start rolling.

general public would prefer 1.8 10th gen over this. the difference is 10 lacs. that jump is too big

exactly, expect the engine to be an absolute "fail" in the local market not because of its own inherency or any flaw but because even the more family use oriel civic has it and people are not gonna maintain it. Cold starts and straight shutdowns as well as our local jugaads of experimenting with oil viscosities that have no correlation with the engine they are running on and most but not least the people that will actively advocate you to not use hi-octane to cheap out on fuel

Any speculations of differences between these variants? Oriel i think would sell the most. In sensing tech, i only find Adaptive cruise control to be useful.

There are lot of turbos now, people will eventually understand how to keep the turbo cars.

yes but only those that care, eventually would be a very long timeframe. Being an HS owner i see daily posts on people telling others not to put in hi-octane to cheap out when the compression ratio literally requires it.

all new cars are turbo and workign fine.example include MG HS, peugeot 2008 and glory pro.

Oriel will get following probably over non oriel

Not sure what else

Well mine has been sitting in a garage for 2 months but i would say for an average monthly use of 3,000 km it would be around 10k more which trust me people will try to save
