Bhai in good condition any auto 1.8 Oriel (8th, 9th, 10th gens) is a 10-11 second car. 10th gen CVT if launched right using D and S will be quicker as soon as 8th/9th gen Prosmatics shift to 2nd gear and their rpms drop.
In certain conditions (it’s a long list) a 1.8 oriel might do just a little bit under 10 but that will be a one off exception not the norm.
Change one of the factors (for example fuel from a different pump, cat semi chocked, different road, time of day/temp) and it will again be 10 seconds plus.
Also, 0-100 is not equal to 1-101.
When you start accelerating a car from complete standstill there is a good 0.5 second delay between the moment you press throttle and the car actually moving. It’s hard for GPS timing devices to cater for this.
An object in motion is easier to keep in motion than to bring it into motion from a stationary state.
Which is why several international reviewers and magazines do a 1 foot rollout start. 'Rollout' is the distance travelled by a vehicle before the timing lights on a drag strip are triggered.
And no Grande CVTi also isn’t an 8 or 9 second car. Both Honda and Toyota are in the same ballpark.
