I'll bring up the debate again. For my understanding only. Theoretically it seems like the 127 hp Oriel should be quicker off the line cos it has way more low end torque. But I think someone mentioned here that the 0-100 for the Singapore version is around 10.7 sec, I think it's pretty similar to the 10th gen oriel. So off the line they should be neck and neck and the XI oriel might feel responsive in daily driving cos of more torque.

Btw in regards to build quality I am attaching some pics of our 2010 city for reference I've seen this bad gap in multiple civic XI's so far.

Well guys I got some technical details. The new civic RS is also detuned and has boost limited to 12 psi from previous 15 psi. It does 0-100 around 9.5 seconds lol. Atlas playing really safe I think mostly due to fuel.
It’s disappointing atleast for me because RS had that power advantage over all other offerings.
Let’s see what other owners have to say on this. I hope the car I got details from may have some other issue which is highly unlikely because it’s just 1400 km driven.

There is a review on RS done by some Karachi based youtuber with the name of (great muhammad ali). Car was brand new and they did 0-100 but it was not impressive at all !

Yeah that reviews 0-100 was very sloww. Car had 2 people except driver but still it felt slower than previous RS.

Since Oriel is already detuned (assuming for model segmentation reasons), detuning RS wouldn't make sense.

Since Atlas clearly didn't give revised L15B (180 hp / 240 nm) variant that's introduced internationally, I see no logical reason why they wouldn't maintain the same output from same L15B as outgoing Civic RS.

If they detune XI RS compared to X RS, then they not only lose its USP but it also means somewhere something is still not right with X RS wrt to our local fuel.

IMO if X RS runs fine on normal fuel, then engine output of XI RS should atleast be same.

Yup I saw that too. The host said that car is taking a bit long to reach 100. Most likely it’s detuned due to our fuel. Ah well now we also get compromised power

There were 4 people and also rolling per hi koi test kia tha. I didn’t see that complete video. Old RS stock was 8 seconds and around 8.5 with D throughout. So far, we have no proper video.. still waiting for one

I have a K tuner test video. The boost is reduced to 12 PSI from 14 PSI so that will impact performance.
Company definitely has to see the safer side to protect the engine in the longer run but those getting RS for performance will be disappointed.

These new cars will take a it longer for 0-100 before 5k kms or whenever the first oil change is due. Let any of these cross 10k kms on odo and then test for acceleration

Brand new 10th gen RS were doing 8-8.5 seconds on Dragy so this is a straight comparison.
