You forget that its a Honda engine you're comparing with Korean engines. This engine has been used since 2016 in all international markets, and people have successfully run it over 200,000 miles without any issue. Honda has also purposefully overengineered the engine as it can handle +15% hp, +10% tq without any long-term problems.
I don't particularly like the civic xi either, but please lets not get ahead of ourselves here criticizing the car. The engines will probably last far longer than the average owner will drive these cars, its the CVT I'm more worried about. Arguing that a 2.0N/A is better than a 1.5T when the latter provides more power and better fuel economy is a strawman argument.

People used civic/grande for 3-4 years and crossovers were launched. Sales were good as both sedans were less featured and old as well by that time. Still civic turbo was a clear winner. It was so good when sonata was launched vs so called suvs

Bro, I've lived in the US and its common knowledge there that this site is a paid site which doesn't really tell the real story. You can ask @Xulfiqar himself what he thinks of the L15 turbo and this site as well, as he's a mechanic and living in US currently.

I wouldn't call them bad brakes, but yes they are different from Civic. You have to get used to it.

There is a big difference between vehicle dependability (this list) and actual engine reliability.

Let me know who is the largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines and who makes the most reliable engines. Hint: it's the same brand, and its not Korean, American, European.

Who funded this JD Power study group? Do we also have their names? JD rankings have seldom been independent and neutral even in the past. Do they survey the same car owners after 5 years of ownership? 10 years?

Since this is a US market specific focused ranking, do we know the average ownership span of a car in US vs Pakistan?

The car brand you see in the top of this list had its 0.5 million cars recalled due to fire hazard, not to mention endless pre-mature engine failures or turn signals that can flash in the opposite direction of what the driver intended.
