Yeah definitely its gotten too steep. That's why I'll stick to Grande for foreseeable future.
I travel to lhr couple times a month and Grande is all comfort be it M2 or GT road. 0-100 isn't my thing anyway. And if someone wants to overtake me, i just let them pass 🤷. Easy life.

Alhamdulilah booked Grande X in silver colour with black room today. Getting it delivered in September. My reasons for this choice
- Reliability and resale of Toyota
- Performance seems to be on par with Civic
- looks great
- way better value for money
- with the currency devaluation, civic will reach 7 million by next year which I believe is not worth it at all at that price tag
- personally the new civic didnt wow me as much as the previous one did so it was an easy choice for me
- Saved 1.8 million

Edit. Forgot to mention one last and very important decision making factor. The delivery time of civic. No way I am willing to wait for a year.

Given that 65 lac civic just about right and in a couple of year may be 80 lacs. Lets not talk price anymore.

Btw own is now down to 5lakhs for oriel and 3 for base model. That's at honda point Lahore. All things considered for ready delivery, base model doesn't seem too bad. Definitely worth spending a bit more over grande.

Yes drive is very nice, stance looks and seats overall very decent package vs 7 yr old grande. Haven’t seen base yet

I saw a base model 2 days back on the roads of lahore, definitely better than the (NOW) overpriced (outdated) grande at-least.

Saaray he lootaray hain. Indus found the opportunity and bumped up prices of OUTADED Corolla much more than what the dollar or raw materials would have directly effected it.
Honda Atlas we all know very well, its pretty much running towards a point where it won't be in the top 5 sellers of the country.
Kia ka dimaagh sportage kay baad say waisay he kharab hay.

I really think now, that the best way to somehow bring competition in the sector is to resume the imports of JDMs again, on easy terms, but only for vehicles under a certain displacement (1800cc especially hybrids)/invoice value.
