Leaving RS aside, this is how "127 hp" Oriel performs against Super Car Grande.

Just a few days ago I was ridiculed when I wrote about the advantage of that massive flat Torque curve in Oriel (thanks to Turbo, despite being detuned) is available from a very low 1700 RPMS. This is precisely the outcome of that. Good luck to all the claims of people especially 1.6 Altis owners who were waiting to beat it. Keep waiting.

Also this puts to rest the claim of sub-10 second Grandes too. We were told this Oriel will do 0-100 in 10+ seconds, if that is true, then Grandes are actually doing the same in 11+ seconds. I don't want to name and shame people here but it's pretty obvious now how this car performs in real world.

Also, this makes the RS doing 0-100 in 9.4 seconds on PW review highly questionable. I also feel sad for people who cancelled their Oriel booking solely on rumors and propaganda around 127 HP.

I think what almost 99% people here don’t understand is that peak HP and Torque only tell “half” the story about a car’s relative performance. A car that makes 180Nm Torque from as low as 1700 rpms and basically has a flat Torque curve, let’s say in case of new Oriel from 1700 to all the way up to 4500 rpms coupled with a CVT (that can hold the engine at specific rpms based on load conditions) will outperform another car whose peak torque hits at higher rpms. I predicted this 16 days ago solely based on looking at engines specifications when there were absolutely NO videos around on YouTube and wrote the same here in my quoted post above.

And if i had written that people shouldn’t cancel their bookings if they were inclined to cancel solely based on the fact that it will lose to 1.8 cars, I would have been labelled as Atlas sympathizer almost instantly.

Bhai kisi ke pas book krne ke pesey nahi hain, sab velay hain. Sari gariyan aap hi ne book kark rakhi huwi thein. ab ye teenager racing page videos par tou nahi believe rakhta koi. Pakwheels gave the 0-100 time for civic rs and the same goes for grande which was uploaded a few yrs ago. Both r 9.5 sec cars give or take .25 secs

Irony that in a crucial state that our country is in rn, we care more about 0-100 times of c segment sedans lol (that too stock).

P.S. not defending any video, just know that these drag races dont show the real picture! Unless you experience it yourself. Car condition tires mileage maintenance driver etc matter a lot. So hold your horses for a while lol

Its just a benchmark for performance, if one’s paying 2 million over old 10th gen turbo than there should be something justifying it rather all I see is a straight downgrade because features aren’t even considerable because all pkdm cars are a strip down version.

Sir again, you cannot look at a car in isolation from competition. Features of 10th Turbo in 2016 were consistent with international market? That car was a much more stripped down then vs 11th gen RS now.

I saw my first Applied for Civic 11th generation in Islamabad. Silver color . For 65 lacs it looked very average
from every angle. The ten gen civic was a stunner .This looks like some 2010 American sedan .
