what do we take from here.... the production starts after the testing or its just the random test mule which has got nothing to do with manufacturing as such.

The GM6 City test mule was roaming on the road for at least 7 months before the actual launch. I think Civic test mule/ camouflaged as we saw in above posts is a CBU. As of now there is no local CKD 11th generation. In other words, locally produced 11th generation is few months away.

Are you sure about that? From what i remember they opened bookings in may, test units were spotted in june and official launch was in end of July.

well, what I can tell, if we assume Atlas will do same as what they did with City, dont expect an actual Civic on showroom floor before June/ July. Pre-booking is a pathetic approach Atlas is famous for and anything possible.

Looks like a Pakistani unit. Test mules are almost never CBU as Honda has to test and tune the car according to Pakistan.

Yep that is exactly what happened. I think @fazalwahab11375 is referring to the CBU build mules that were imported in 2016. They never came on public roads. Similarly a build mule never comes on the road. I expect Honda to launch this Civic within 2 months now.

Well, Proton, Kia , Hyundai, Changan, have been driving the CBU units before the launch of CKD. Maybe you are right but keep in mind, Honda wants to remain in limelight and wants to keep public on their toes and generate some attraction. I personally think, The actual CKD on showroom floor is still 6 months away. Yes as I said earlier, Honda atlas may start pre-booking like they did in the case of City while the actual model, pricing and features were not known till late July 2021.

The 17" wheels on the spotted vehicle are the one seen on Thai/ Indonesian RS. I think, Honda Atlas will not launch a full blown RS like in Thailand and Indonesia. I hope they do bring the loaded version but keeping the situation of the past, PKDM Civic remained always less equipped comparing other regions.

I think a PKDM will come with these wheels on the top variant.
