I explained in detail above what is the current status. There is no CKD kits as of now in the country, 100% confirmed from the official import data/ FBR. Even the camouflaged vehicle is a CBU.

OK guys, some more unofficial info. NO import of Civic XI CKD at this time, " as of today ". Civic X kits were imported BUT in lean production phase which basically means working towards change and reduced numbers/ production than normal. The camouflaged Civic as seen is possibly a CBU. For full model change assembler do test the CBU units to "benchmark" and collect data points before they develop/ produce a CKD as prototype which includes parts from local supply chain. USDM comes standard with LED headlights but its on top variant in ASEAN. If Atlas is planning for cost cuttings which they normally do, expect this difference on PKDM Civic.. lol.. they did same at launch for Civic X. They will keep few things for the fake-lifts..

LED headlights are on RS variant only in Thailand, Indonesia

As per current roadmap, its planned for spring/ mid 2023. KLM couldn't turn tables for Sorento and things are not that promising for the Stonic So, a next generation is a priority. The 5th generation/ the current overseas model will be almost 2 years old by then. Sportage made a name for it and a new generation automatically can kill everything in the market ; again depending upon pricing and how well its equipped.

i have a booking for civic and tentative delivery date is 31 march. so take that around mid of april 15, now people are saying you might get the 11th gen civic (which justifies their price hike of 4 lac compared to grande which is 2 lac for the year 2022) so is there any possibility that i might get the 11th gen civic or not. or should i sell my booking or cancel it and go for something else if its the same 10th gen civic in april

I can unofficially confirm that your April delivery is for Civic X. Price hike is for the current generation Civic X and it can go further up if government bring back the higher FED as planned. Civic X price will go further up obviously than the current Civic X.

wont this be unreasonable if someone gets civic x in july and other guys get civic 11th gen at the end of july suppose in that same price the one got civic x is in pure loss who would want to get that one in the same price

Well, then one should cancel the booking .. Obviously it happens everywhere around the globe. People go buy an older generation and within weeks the next generation arrives. The buyer need to make a decision before making a purchase.

As of today the 1.8L Civic X booking is open with delivery in April/ May.. anyone in the market obviously should do his/ her homework before going out for a purchase.

lets see what information we get in the month of january if its the same and clear that the 11th gen isnt coming before mid 2022 then will cancel the booking and go for elantra

Heard government is thinking about setting a pricing commission for the automotive industry, then again we have heard it earlier too but not so simple imho.

Not gonna happen because auto industry have a valid argument too.. the seriously unstable $. Pricing commission cant handle the price of daily commodities, car industry which is also run by big fish of the country.. lol.. anything which cant be resolved means.. make a commission.

What government can do is to mandate the minimum required localization for all CKD. Currently the automaker says, they are doing alot but in reality it's way too less.

As an example , the sharkfin antenna for Civic X is actually imported from China.. Atlas cant localize it locally.. ???

and who said stonic was a failure? its selling on 3-4 lac own adn the delivery time has been extended upto 4-5 months due to too many bookings. i dont know how do you guys declare something failure on your own

Well , same was the case with the Sorento and people were ready to pay 7 and 800K premiums in first couple of months of launch. Remember Honda GM6 City was also for sale at premium with price upto 3.5 Million but now the reality check is here and we know how it's going.

I don't understand how come a premium defines a success. Crazy local market. Remember, there are investors / black marketers in the market.

Delivery time for stonic extended because they just imported 350 kits and secondly their plant is not upto speed to produce the stonic in larger numbers because of chip shortage. Delivery times also does not mean KLM is over booked. Many things are intentional to show in the market a success for a product and " OVER BOOKING " is one such term used by dealers.

Definitely should have savings like this 745 Le with 14 million shaved off because the model year is prior. Except our local industry loves milking the cow and maxxing out profit because they know they will still get the same sales numbers
