We need to understand its not the Civic that is expensive its our Rupiya that is becoming useless rapidly.. Yes civic looks overpriced according to other cars but what are other cars? Corrolla Elantra Sportage Tucson all are old generations ..Chinese manufacturers are in market entry stage ofcourse they are keeping the prices competitive cant compare a settled product with new market entrant ,the market value you think you are gaining on a new brand chinese car will be lost when you will sell it anyway ..Point is 8million is not the 8million we are used of.. have to wake up and accept reality ... people who bought any car in last 6 months will be quite relieved now ...and in Pakistan prices dont come down so stop hoping that people will stop buying and prices will come down .. many people earn in dollars such as exporters, free lancers, overseas relatives who send money.. their income is increasing according to dollar rate and cars prices and they will keep buying ..A race is going on with dollar complaining will not get you anywhere

Wait so if i pay full payment before 6th august for civic oriel, I will have to pay 5,800,000 instead of 6,450,000 or 7,100,000

if elantra/sportage whoes body parts are many times expensive than civic(as it is mostly being imported ) can be sold for 54 why civic cannot be sold for less it has cheaper parts and much local vendars than korean counterparts.US dollar issue is over emphasized issue i guess

Not really. Elantra / sportage are old models are parts are way cheaper. We get expensive parts due to their business plan only. Civic is new model . Atlas is minting true money in BRV and City

If Atlas truly wanted to mint money, they could have easily done what other auto manufacturers are doing and kept selling old model. Civic X was selling quite well and sales wouldn't have dropped. It takes time, money and effort to setup assembly lines for newer generation, training all staff etc. Of course they will want to recoup those costs. It's a for profit company not a charity.

End of an era today, this was pretty much the last nail in the coffin.
80 lacks for a very ordinary vehicle is absurd, so basically now their main source of revenue will be the obsolete city & brv.
sedan ka bht he zada kis ko shoq ho ga then only will he go for this otherwise there are many crossovers in this range now, which are multipurpose and all round vehicles. When you spend 83-84 lack you will obviously not want a city toy.
sales now are gonna be 3 4 hundred per month i'm sure, Hr-v will be a hit now. Very poor planning by honda honestly.

what you fail to understand is that peoples income did not increase with the increase in dollars,
jiske pas 60 lack hai woh eik damn 80 lack nae ho gaey, 60 he hain. Majority of people earn in RS not USD.
Idk what honda pays you to say all this, honda has always offered obsolete city and brv always, why do you never talk about that? chinese ka shukriya ada karein that they invest in your country no german brand is stupid to set up its plant in a third world country like ours .
i'm pretty sure it will touch 1 carore soon and you will be here to defend it.
If people cared about old generations vehicles they would not buy city for 2 decides, no body cares about generations here in this country. Get over it already.

Well all are equally expensive now and all ratios are same. Pretty much ruined due to rupee. Btw 80 _% of civic was already being sold on premium and coster 75 on road at an average, so what i see is that sales can dip but margins may not.

true, this really is a last nail in the coffin. pretty much all the excitement killed as this has gone totally out of range now. 62 lac were fine, even 66 chalo sai hai but 81, thats too high and when u include registration and other taxes this will cost around 85 lac rupees. time to shift to other options. preferably elantra

Personally for me I booked oldshape on 11th Jan 22 and converted to RS the day they started conversions to new shape , got Sep delivery (So pre booking 2 months before offical booking and still almost 9 month wait lol).

When dollar was pretty volatile at end of may before budget and prices were increasing day by day i bought an MG HS for 58(registered), enjoying all ADAS features adaptive cruise etc the feature itch that I had and the reason I opted for RS absolutely love my black on red MG HS.

Now with this price increase I have no motivation to get another ordinary looking civic (I already have a 35k driven 2017 civic X as 3rd car) , I'm just waiting for them to give no cancelation fee or markup on refunds like Toyota before I cancel.

Just a perspective of a non dealer/Investor someone who wanted to keep this shape for a good 5-6 years
