Have started feeling steering jerk n lock issue at 7k mileage for which which I contacted Honda n they admitted to have this claim But they didn’t launch my complaint as turn noise/sound is not yet arisen. In last civic fault appeared after 40k but here where we expected this fault to be no where but got so early. Even I was told by a dealership boy that in one of the unit it appeared even before 1k. Anyone else noticed this
It is design of steering rack, it can happen anytime. If they have accepted it then you should ask them to launch claim as it would take couole of months to lrocess your case.
Asian models are more prone than US models but some cases have been approved already

I know 2 friends having issue and both warranties are now approved. one is changes and one will be changed in 2 weeks time. In start, Asian variants were most affected ones but now US/ canada are are also getting claims
For the steering rack replacement, how is it ensured that it won’t fault again if the same part # is being fitted as a replacement?
I have a feeling that old lot of steering racks might have been used in initial batches as with facelift Civic X, number of cases were less alongwith changed ones .
