Lol, i just got to know that 11th gen Civic 2.0 has a new K20C2 engine, not the old R20. I've gotten so used to these under-equipped cars now that I always expect less from Honda Atlas and Toyota Indus. People are going absolutely mad over the CBU price of 60 Lac but wait till Toyota drops the bomb with their 12th gen Hybrid Corolla pricing (hopefully it's hybrid).

Well expect first a Corolla Cross Hybrid instead of 12th generation Sedan . There is due possibility, a 12th generation dont see a light of the day in Pakistan.

Cross Hybrid possible launch as CKD mid 2023.

K20 and its derivatives came in all 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and now 11th gens. In 9th gen K20 was only limited to Type R and on regular 9th gens, Honda dropped K20 in favour of R20, then with 10th gen they switched back to K20.

The video expect it around March / April. Again, I think it will be June/ July. Obviously Pre-booking nonsense might start by March/ April.

Pre booking by March-April and delivery by Nov - Dec.(Same manjan of Atlas like they are doing since 2016).. Price tag of 52-55 lac is certainly high but then again we don't know the dollar rupee parity of next year. It could well reach 190-200 rs to 1 USD. Can you confirm about the engine specs @fazalwahab11375 will it be 1.5 T only or 2.0 N.A and 1.5 T both.

Civic is a status symbol.

Depends on who you ask.

Civic is more common than an FX these days. Turns as many heads as a Suzuki Mehran does.

Nothing status symbol about it.

For many, Honda cg125 is a premium bike. Even though it's spotted everywhere.

Would've given you some credit had you mentioned Sonata.

Population of 250 million. How many do you think own a car worth over 40 lac? I doubt Honda has sold even 200k 10th gen Civics in Pakistan.

Well 1.5T is obviously confirmed.
I don't think 2L NA is an option.
1.8L is discontinued outside Pakistan. Possibly that might be the case for Pakistan as well. Again no clarity about 1.8L.

Only cheap insta pages that love thinking that a civic is handbuilt in the AMG factory think of it as a status symbol with those ugly fake vents and stupidly low suspensions.

LoL I found the Honda atlas account here. Claiming: ..Civic in Pakistan reliable: (In the market segment it competes in Pakistan reliability is normally an argument against civic),
..upmarket: (it is not, locally manufactured upmarket for local people is a Sportage, Tucson, sonata, revo, fortuner)
..people not caring how much it costs: (nope it is the single biggest factor for any car launch and directly equates to success or failure)

All aside, civic is a crowd favorite in Pakistan, bringing a turbo engine to the masses and giving unheard of luxuries (despite being stripped down) like remote start etc. But people absolutely care about pricing, they absolutely don't buy it as a luxury weekend crusier and in the recent past it has given some issues (9gen interior, infotainment, wheel bearing and suspension issues). (10 gen build quality, rusting, battery exploding/failing, turbo engine knocking etc)

Compare sales of Civic 10th gen back in 2016 when it was for 25 lac to now when it's for 40 lac and you'll realize how wrong you are. When it comes to cars in Pakistan, it's a fairly inelastic market.
