So according to Tahir Abbas (automotive youtuber), Honda has started pre-booking from 12 Lac in some dealerships for new 11th gen Civic with delivery in May or June, unofficially I guess and as usual specs, price and varients haven't been revealed just like Honda Atlas did with City. This is quite disappointing to see Atlas even doing this practice with their flagship product which is Civic. Real buyers will get their cars either by paying own (which I think is going to decrease as the product is very very expensive already) or by 2023 with booking even if it's available. 10th gen Civic will surely retain it's value and even increase in some cases.

Well, I have two booking forms from December 27 and both vehcile booked at an Islamabad dealership and both booking shows as Civic X. Both vehicles delivery is for March/April.

I think its again some dealership mafia who have started this nonsense of prebooking like last time we saw with Honda City.

Pakwheels Editorial called Honda Atlas for confirmation and they have confirmed offically that " BOOKING FOR 11TH GENERATION HAS NOT YET STARTED. ANY ONE ASKING FOR 11TH GENERATION IS FALSE INFORMATION ".

Dealers all over the world have unofficial wait lists for upcoming cars but they never take any deposit without an official announcement. In Pak, it is becoming the norm and Honda isn't least bothered about its dealers taking advantage of its customers by colluding with investor mafia.

Civic X will surely retain it's value. Civic XI will be launched in 1.5T option only and probably above 5 million price mark while people who bought 1.8L civic X at 42 or 43 will not lose any value because newer gen will be atleast 1 million more expensive. However, that's my assumption let me know if you guys think otherwise

Quite a decision for those who are waiting for their 1.8 X to be delivered. Although unlikely but In case Atlas launch the 2.0L na, that would certainly affect the X’s value otherwise they’re safe lol.

I guess the 1.5 XI would be around 55 as historically newer gens are priced 3-5 lakh more than the previous gens when launched.

X has its downsides as well, if we exclude the rupee depreciation time which was rapid until mid of 2019, X doesn't enjoy much resale value. Current price is stupidly high compared to grande and elantra. Buyer spent extra for the navigation and leather interior both of them are basic stuff now and should come as standard. The hump at the back row and mediocre cvt transmission are other two reasons I never opted for 10th gen. Point is, resale would go down if newer model doesn't have these issues, also assuming that it has more features to offer being the latest gen.

So , it has started "unofficially" . Nothing we can do to control it. I guess the only way is to move with this boat , or wait till 2023 mid for the delivery. Those who are saying own will go down once the 1st lot of investors gets cleared are in for another surprise.

Resale value never goes down of any variant if a new variant is launched or even with the launch of a new gen, previous gen appreciates handsomely if you see the trend.
