LOL, and get smoked by Type R in roll race, braking, cornering. That is, in all the things which actually matter to the buyers of these types of cars, i.e. track days. People don't buy Type Rs or GRs for drag races.

Matt from carwow ONLY does drags because that's what he does as its easy, doesn't take time to setup and has an audience like you and me who like to watch the content. He does not to do track races which is the target audience of these cars.

Corolla GR's AWD has problems too. Funny you mention FWD limitations for Type R, yet don't even know the tons of problems GR's AWD system has:

Lol nice way to defend a fwd only car ..an awd car is any day superior in delivering power to the tires especially when we talk about hp over 300 which is the case with these vehicles ..the type r is pretty slow infront of the gr corolla mainly due to this reason plus maybe more heavy also ..and fyi matt also does roll races after the drag quarter miles then the brake test and in all the drag races plus some rolls the type r

Seriously fwd vs awd obv the fwd is basic may have less issues in case of these hot hatches. Your comparing limitations to so called problems which are very less if there are any .. i agree the type r has a name/history drives good but lets admit it gets smoked by the gr and it really is a fun hot hatch neck to neck with the rivals plus reliable too. The awd system is just too good which the fwd type r cant match in a straight .

I'm not defending the car, I had already seen the video you shared the very day it came out on carwow channel. Probably before you.

The fact is that GR is slower in roll race, worse in braking and cornering compared to FWD TypeR. The guys behind savagegeese channel are proper car tech enthusiasts. They are unlike you who defend Grande and what not. I would take their word any day over local Toyota fanboys club here, and that too over a car that's not even sold here. Or any other brand for that matter.

And for the record, if they say Type R sucks, I'd believe that too. We people by and large have a habit of cherry picking ONE thing about something, and then painting the wall with it to hide the downside of the same product.

Another thing you FAIL to realize again and again is that TypeRs and GRs are NOT bought by people whose first priority is drag racing. These are affordable entry tickets to track days. Just because we don't have even a half-credible racing track in Pakistan doesn't mean the rest of the world has to agree with you, i.e. drag racing is the only things to measure a car's performance on.

FYI - back in the day, FWD Civic FD2 TypeRs with 220 HP smoked 280 HP AWD R34 GTR Spec V on Suzuka Japan, and also Lancer Evo 7 and NSX Type R and RX7s. That's the legacy of Honda and FWD TypeRs that you are arguing on with me.

Neither is the type r sold here and im pretty sure none us has experienced the cars in person as i havent heard anyone say sonething about gr corollas brakes or anything ..the point is the type r fl6 is much slower from a standstill race from the gr mainly fue to being fwd only and more heavy ..keep in mind the gr has a 3cylinder 1.6 litre turbo engine while the type r has a 2 litre 4 cyl engine so even here the type r gets knocked out ... your bringing in old civic type r's in this debate which all agree are great cars but that doesnt help your case lol.. the talk is about the latest type r vs gr in performance in which you cant come with any solid point except here and there made up stories .. the video i shared has more views and a car enthusiast following then any of the ones you shared and read the comments of that video are those fanboys too .. i would believe videos of matt over civic fan boys aswell who may defend stripped out overpriced cars.

Since you have all the wisdom in the world, here are few simple questions for you when it comes to GR vs TypeR:

Which is faster from standstill?
Which is faster from roll on?
Which is better in braking?
Which is better in cornering, laps, circuits?
Which car can sustain more laps of a track before making pitstop?

2. In roll race the gr again takes the lead but type r catches up and may even cross now you know after all 3cyl 1.6 turbo vs 2.0 4 cyl turbo still very impressive competition.
3. Maybe type r but both are pretty even.

Get out of this chinese mentality, they're vehicles are much better than others which are being offered here.
I like the rs but 85 to 90 is max it should be priced considering how stripped out it is.
Charging 25k for wireless charger 20k for paint lol, Half digital meter even in rs and it goes on.
If it wasn't for haval,mg and kia. We'd still be stuck in 2005 era vehicles.
These chinese companies forced honda to reintroduce the hrv with more features. I hope civic too InshAllah

It's Rs. 55,000 for the wireless charger. If you add up the added paint cost, added burgundy interior cost, the extended 4 year warranty cost and floor mats, you end up with 1.05 crore for the RS, which is more than the price of a facelift Haval H6 2.0 AWD

No need for high octane. Just use Regular fuel which is recommended as well. No knocking issue in Civic XI gen.

i think you should have a look at the competitors (at the same price bracket) before final decision.

1- Haval 1.5T H6
2- Haval Jolion 1.5T HEV
3- Hyundai Elantra HEV
4- MG HS PHEV

if it was me, i would probably go for Elantra or MG PHEV.

Your beloved H6 2.0 is a dead horse after 150

It's a beast till 178, that's the top speed i hit and it pulls hard and keeps pulling. It's no slouch after 100, not by any definition.
However, the car didn't feel planted at those speeds as I was on margalla avenue and that is not a very straight road and I've not driven a sedan at those speeds on that road, so my observation of it not being planted might not be as objective, because margalla avenue is a fairly undulating road.

It's the suspension. It's the same for all Chinese crossovers. It's way too soft and it compromises high speed stability.

Australian versions now get a returned suspension. It's more balanced then before and car reviewers say its more stable now.
