Because I am a car enthusiast by heart. To me a car is not a simple point A to B commodity like a shopping trolley at some store. I see them as much more than that. That's why I don't rate or judge cars entirely on a checklist of (yes/no) features like a brainless zombie. Because every car no matter how good or bad, how cheap or expensive has something to offer.
At times I would often criticize a particular car, a brand or a group behind it but you would never see me downgrade any car to a point that it becomes downright laughable and indefensible.
Darthvader's behaviour is sometimes on the contrary, particularly when it comes to 11th gen. Ask him 5 pros of 11th gen Civic RS and see him go haywire. Ask me 5 pros of any car and i'll glady help out.
I, too don't like some cars in our PKDM market but you don't see me nagging and mocking them endlessly year on year on their respective threads, making bullet points to vent out frustration and what not.
I humbly admit 11th gen's limitations and often write on them as sell. Even my above post started with this premise that it is slow off the line on launch. But I will also defend its strengths. Civic's grippy dependable handling and quick steering response is second to none in its price bracket. Only N line tops it. Another major factor is that people don't truly understand the easy tunability factor. Put in a Ktuner and you are looking at 7 second 0-100 with ZERO hardware mods. And this is with a car that is weak off the line to begin with.
Every car has its own behaviour. Hybrid DCTs have a real advantage off the line. I never debate it. I accept it. But to say 11th gen RS is slow and then mock it by cherry picking 0-80 acceleration to support ones argument is professional dishonesty at best.
Bring any Changan X7 or Tiggo or H6 and they are slower after 100. Not as impressive as they are initially off the line. 100-200, RS would smoke them. Though with recent brutal speed enforcements on motorway that's a closed chapter at least for now.
In 11th gen, Honda made a lot of changes to the CVT programming logic. Smoothed out the acceleration curve. Anyone who drives a 10th gen RS vs 11th gen RS will feel it in two minutes how 11th gen gradually builds speed and then just goes. People who actually own it, only praise it. Its the people who have never actually driven it enough are the loudest here.
I am the same person who on this very thread told people 3 years ago that 11th gen Oriel with its 128 hp will surprise you in acceleration. Look up Motorsports Pakistan channel on Youtube and see how stock oriel fares against Civic X 1.8 and Elantra 2.0. While people claimed even Altis 1.6 will outrun it. Put Ktuner on 11th gen Oriel and you are looking at RS level performance with zero hardware mods.
To cut a long story short, I am going to buy H6 soon due to old age parent at home who needs a higher car. But Civic RS will always stay with me. As long as Honda keeps their sharp steering response and grippy handling intact, i'll keep on buying them.
And I also know the downsides and limitations of H6 that I am going buy. Once I post them on H6 thread, some people will have a rude awakening especially those who consider it invincible just because they like its looks.
