There are many people I see who own Civic X and now hate Civic XI because of the exorbitant price. I was one of them too and was really appalled when RS was priced at 1 crore by the 'geniuses' in Atlas. However, one of my close friends bought 2024 RS and was really happy with the purchase. Soon he moved abroad and offered me a good discount over prevailing market price after which I bought it with the intention to drive a bit and later sell off.
The moment I drove RS though, my impression of that car completely changed as contrary to my expectations, it was a significant upgrade over my Civic X. The difference became more stark when I used to drive Civic X after driving RS. Before that purchase, I was perfectly happy with the drive of Civic X which I intended to keep as my 2nd car for long term, with Fortuner being my daily runner. But within a couple of months, I sold Civic X off as it felt too heavy and rigid compared to smooth drive of RS. The Fortuner is also now just lying in Garage unused, as I'm driving RS for daily use and even for long routes, due to significantly better drive and the ADAS features which are just so much useful in motorway driving. Most likely I'll soon sell Fortuner too as it is just taking space at home. I'm getting decent fuel average too (better than Civic X and Fortuner).
I'd now say, price aside, Civic XI RS is a great car for daily and motorway driving. While you may get better specs/features in Chinese or Korean hybrid/electric crossovers, but if you want a beautiful looking, reliable sedan with durable engine and peace of mind regarding service and parts, then RS should be one of the serious options you should consider.
Also, if you plan to purchase, I'd recommend Silver or Grey, as the paint shade and quality are excellent, which is rare these days. In white RS, the contrasting black spoiler, door handles etc dont look good, whereas in Black RS, the stunning curves of the car are not highlighted as such as in lighter tones like Silver.
