About the detailing of cars. I am 51 years old fashioned person with vast experience of cars. My driver washes the cars daily with just normal stuff. And simple Polish once a month or 2 months. A relative mine owns a city which he keeps better than his wife and kids.
He spends lot of money on all these Polish and clay stuff. Last summer we were in Peshawar and I had just came back from mega NA trip and my Prado was full of dirt and have not be washed for 10 days.
This relative of mine the detailing freak explained me the scratch test with hand and with a shopper. We dusted of the dust from prado bonnet with cloth and did the test and it was smooth as baby butt. When we tested the detailed city it was krach krach. Since than I heard he has spent thousands and still getting detailing.
So my point is don't get carried away by gores brain wash chemicals. And stick to old fashion car washes. Believe me my all cars even 10 years old still stand out and can prove it by looks and never touched any think except normal Polish and compound once in 2 years.

Got first oil change from Toyota nd settled for Taglon 5W50, fully synthetic SN grade.

Will go for 5W30 once I get out of warranty.

No doubt sir you are experienced guy but i would like to enlighten you with some facts.
1. Anyone can clean a car
2. Anyone can compound/polish/wax a car
3. Luster will clean no doubt but cost is interior deterioration, surf or sunsilk is not paint friendly, The 50 rupee cloth is not paint friendly, it creates paint defects,swirls etc. that single cloth will remove mud and then scratch your windscreen.
4. Its about car care, it's expensive, time consuming & fulfilling to detailers. Detailing is a different ball game. Normal people wont get it. [emoji23]

Its just a thought
If your happy then who am i to say no to your happiness.
But i will try to educate each and every one.

Washed (with Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax) and waxed (with Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax). Two bucket method was used and results are here.
Meguiar's washmitt, water magnet towel and supreme shine mf towel all are wonderful worth spending products.
It was my first wash to my new car, I hope I'll do even better next time.
It is a tough task but the satisfaction after looking at the results is priceless.

you are talking about two cars
honda city and prado
prado have awesome paint,
paint finishing and is more longer lasting than poor city.
city have relatively low paint finish and poor quality paint so it becomes rough too early.
even i witnessed that my black corolla 2007 treated with surf and hair shampoos have more smooth paint than my pampered swift which is detailied every month.
so paint quality and finish also creates difference in paint roughness
but i bet you that city may have more or same shine and gloss like your prado which have good paint quality and thats what detailing is meant for.
if you clay, wax and polish a car it will be very smooth in paint for 2 3 days after that paint starts drying again but shine and gloss will stay for longer time if you use quality products.

Yes bro. I currently own a silver colour car like you but as I am not much into detailing stuff, so wash the car once in 2 weeks with plain water and shampoo, and earnestly speaking, the results are not as good as that of yours, but still satisfactory enough for me

Suggestion for Corolla 11 Gen owners

In sha Allah, i will be getting GLi Auto next week. Need suggestion regarding tyres.

1. CC5 Malaysia are for 30,000 2015 production 195/65/15
2. XM2 UK are for 32,000 2015 production 195/65/15
3. Bridgestone Japan are for 35,000 2015 production 205/65/15
4. Advan Db are for 32,000 2015 production 195/65/15
5. Advan Db are for 34,000 2015 production 205/65/15

adjustment is around 17,000, or 16,000 under 100 KM run tyres..

I think the adjustment is on the lower end however. Which one should i go for and which size. Heard from a friend that 205 puts a little too much strain on the 1.3 engine

Secondly if any ISB/RWP pakwheeler can share his trusted shop for the exchange and RIMs (i like the 16 ones that come on the Thai Model ES version but they cost over 65,000 which is a lot for non OEM rims).
@mitthu, i hope you have planned to sell your OEM in-dash system by now

Yes you are right . 205/65/R15 will put a minute load on Engine of 1298CC plus a bit hard steering too.

I am Currently using 205/65/R15 Advan Db and i will suggest you the same advan Db but in 195/65/R15 because your ride is 1.3 plus also with A/T transmission.

I also heard good things about XM2 but only uk made.

@memad, IMC has started a Pirelli exchange offer but they are asking for 24K which is a ridiculous amount.

The deal is around 5 or 7 thousand expensive, and provided we live in pakistan, koi aitbaar nahe kitna purana tyre or kis se khareed kar laga den.

They're offering Pirelli P1 centurato verde. I had to go for soft rubber, so paid 14k extra and got advan db.
