Hi guys... I hv got a question related to auto transmission specially CVT. Is it good practice to put it into N at traffic signals or one should leave it at D ? Signals are usually a minute long.

Better shift into N

There are 2 types of Chrome strips ( for front Grill )
available in market
One has 3m double tape
And the other one is clip on
The black strips are taken out from the grill frame and then chrome strips are placed
Obviously clip on is better esthetically and comes exactly in the line with the grill part inside the headlights
I have double tape strips in my PREDATOR ( 11th gen Gli AT ) and Clip On type in PYTHON ( 11 the gen GLi AT )

The one with double tape is now cheaper it was expensive when I got it Last year , at that time it was for 2k now its around 1200 to 1500
Clip type strip are for 1800 to 2200 depending on the shop
Full chrome grill is also available for 5500 in the market

Better shift into N

No need to do that. Just press the brake pedal while it is in D, according to our expert @xulfiqar bhai

Hi, I've had my Grande since May and from the last 3 months I've noticed that all four doors, especially the two at the front have started vibrating and squeaking. At first this only happened while passing over potholes but now the doors vibrate even while passing over slight imperfections. Although I agree that local cars do not have the best build quality, this constant vibration really ruins the ambience of an other wise sound less cabin. Has anyone faced a similar problem?
Is there any tested solution?
Any help will be appreciated!

You may take it to the 3S workshop for checkup but I seriously doubt if any reasonable solution would be provided as I face a similar issue in my grande and have just stopped thinking about it and enjoy the ride Improper padding inside the doors I suppose - not the best built cars we get here....

Well today went for a 20,000 km service of Corolla to Toyota Central Motors Shahra-e-Faisal.And it went all well but when i returned home i was in a confused state.Becoz i was not given the old air filter and old ac cabin filter which they must do.To my surprise when i opened the Air filter box and old air filter was lying inside and when i opened up the AC cabin filter and that was full of dust resting in its place.So today i got lesson never ever leave your car to these ripping bast**ds.My father is GM of a company and all our cars go to Toyota Central Motors Shahrae-Faisal.around 17 Vehicles including Prado,LC,Vigo,Corolla and many more.So from tomorrow am gonna Sue them and we are closing our contract to TCM Shahrai Faisal.Even they charged the money for Air filter and Cabin AC Filter.

why 2 litres of gear oil only?

since they have cheated while replacing the air and oil filter, do verify whether they have done rest of work or just filled the bill.

I always stand near the car and tell them to show me before replacing any filter, oil, part etc. Never trust them.

I went their for general maintenance @ 5000 km. they charged around 10000. I still have those bills with me.

Labour charges were too high as compare to other dealers and i insisted that i want to stand with my car but they did not allow and said " sir aap bharosa kare aur shaam ko pick kar le" . I didnt left but at last i have to sit in waiting area and enjoy coffee only.

When they prepared the bill, oil filter was charged at 1750 which cost 750 rupees at Toyota university motor. But they said "its not possible, prices are same in all dealerships " . They charged 1750.

First I thought that i will make a post at facebook and email toyota indus as well but with time everything left behind.

The only thing i did was never went their again. Back to toyota university motors. University motor labour charges are much less and staff is better as well.
@10000 km, when i asked university motor for general inspection which they charge something 3500 as compare to sharefaisal 5000 rupee, they said there is no need for it. If you have gone through as 5000km than go for inspection at 15000km. Oil and oil filter change is enough. I have asked to change air filter which they did not changed and said its fine till 20000 km.

I have changed air filter from outside market thats only for 400 rupee, which they have for 2500.

Sorry for the long stories. Per ye dekh kar mere zakham taza ho gaye. Office se half day le kar gaya tha.
