When I went to the 3S dealer for first free inspection of my Altis 1.6, I discussed the issue of car's front passenger seat vibrating at speeds over 120 KM/hr. Their mechanic test drove my car, and recommended wheel balancing. They asked me to pay for wheel balancing as it wasn't offered free with 1000 KM inspection. I politely asked to see their service manager, and he also replied the same. I then asked him to show me in writing that wheel balancing wasn't part of 1st free inspection, or alternatively, to provide me the same in writing, so that I could take up the matter with IMC. Hearing this, he agreed on providing wheel balancing for free. The customer should know his rights in order to deal with these stealerships tactfully.
