(1300 cc, manual, 2009-2011) Corolla vs City

I have a budget of 15 lakh and want to buy a sedan. I have narrowed down to 2 options. Corolla or city (manual, 1300 cc, 2009-2011 model). I have 2 questions.

1) Can I get a good condition and clean car in this budget ? I live in islamabad so can buy from here or rawalpindi.

2) Which of the two is the better option ? My use is within the city. Personally, I like the shape and interior of corolla better than Honda City but people say that City has better drive and fuel economy compared to corolla.

Overall what is the better option ?

I own a 2012 City in Rawalpindi & I really like it's fuel economy and pick. People are of the opinion that it's suspension is stiff. I would suggest that buy whichever car is newer and having lesser mileage. City is usually cheaper than Corolla so you will probably find a newer model City compared to a Corolla

can you please describe the condition of your car and also the mileage ?
And how much would you say its market price would be nowadays ?

Keeping in view the prices these days i doubt if you will get q clean car in this budget of the mentioned models.
My recommendation is to go for corolla if you want comfort and spacious cabin and trunk. Go for city if you want good fuel economy. Difference of economy is very less if you pour 5w30 oem recommended oil in corolla and drive with light foot.

I've been driving a 2013 Corolla Xli for a few years now. The car provides good comfort, boot space and has a good throttle response. It's handling is good enough and it gives an average of around 12-13 km/l within city and 14 km/l on long. It is also more spacious than the Honda City.
Both cars are good and have some pros over one another. I personally like the design of Corolla more so that will be my choice but if you can find a clean one of either of them, it will serve you well iA.

I don't think you will find these years model in your budget. Recently a friend sold 2007 city to car first for 15 lacs.
Corolla is more spacious has better suspension and also stolen more.
City is more economical.

You can get any of these clean vehicles in this budget but that depends on your location more . You can find a clean car but it requires effort.
Secondly , don't select Black Colour for Corolla 2009 to 2012 model as there was some problem in it's base and you will have to shower again and again over time due to fading Colour.
Deciding over Corolla vs City , I will always go for Corolla (2009 -11) as I have kept it for more than 10 years. It's more reliable , more fuel efficient if driven under RPM 2.5 , and more comfortable than same model city. I have kept City same model as well but it's a bit sensitive vehicle and you cannot drive it roughly as it cannot bear that.
Moreover, Corolla has more road grip and better handling than City .
Corolla used to give me 19 km per litres on motorway ( from Islamabad to Peshawer ) &14km per litres in city.
If you are going for Corolla , don't choose black color and Go For GLI as it has ABS brakes which you will be missing in Xli.
Overall better is Corolla !!!

I bought my car zero meter and it's done 70,000 km till now. Condition is excellent except some scratches on front and rear bumpers. I get around 14-15 km/l in Rawalpindi/Islamabad area with AC and around 16 on motorway if I keep it at 120 kph. At 90~100 I get around 18~19.
