1600 vs 1300 engine in baleno 99

dear brothers/sisters
i have recently purchased suzuki baleno 99 model. ex owner changed its engine from 1300 to 1600. car is giving heavey feeling. i think only 1300 is suitable. plz advise me should i change it back. new engine is 15000 km done.

Brother what do you mean by heavy feel. I have a baleno 1.6 Gti and 1600cc engine is perfect for this car. It feels torquey and powerful. I drove 1300cc baleno and i felt very underpowered. So there must be some problem with the 1600cc engine the previous owner has replaced. Get it checked and tuned from a good mechanic. This car was sold with 1600cc and 1800cc engine all over the world so it is made to handle that power.

Kaleem bhai I think your car is giving you perfect mileage. My car gives me 80km with AC for 300rs of CNG in Lahore city.

it moves as if engine is dragging a heavey object
jaldi speed nahi pakarhti
u have to wait to fetch the speed to 100 and above

Definetly something wrong with the engine, I have owned a Baleno Gti and that my friend is one of the fastest -if no the fastest- Paki asembled Suzuki.

There can be a number of reasons your Gti engine is performing worse then a mehran's, worn out spark plugs, ageold oil, bad CNG tuneup, faulty wiring, clutch and whatnot.

But since your saying the previous owner has replaced the 1.3L with a 1.6L the problem -Allah forbid- might be worse, the wrong ECU, wrong injectors, the wrong gearbox. I don't want to scare you but I have seen my fair share of bad swaps over the years, people save some money and go with their previous gearboxes when swapping engines, at times the wrong ECUs or wiring is used I have even seen weird hybrids with 1.6L blocks, 1.3L heads, 1.6L GearBoxes and stock ECUs.

Anyways, get your car properly checked, there certainly is something wrong, otherwise the GTi is the FASTEST Suzuki produced in Pakiland ever. Lets just hopes it's something as minor as a tuneup.

@postera friend did swap from 1300 to 1600 with all parts from different engine..and it was not even going above 130km on motorway on petrol with 3 ppl insidenow he has g15 and its running fineYr engine needs proper check up.....make sure all wiring and ecu and gear box is of same engine..what about pressure and clutch plate

Bhaijan u answered ur question urself, 35kms in 100rs gas is alot, definitely the car needs tuning nothing else.
Previous owner was too much economy conscious, open the gas supply a bit and let it breather also tune and check on petrol!
