165/55/r13 or 165/70/r13?

Hello Tyre Gurus,

I want to install new tyres in my Mitsubishi EK Wagon - 660cc. Currently I have 165/55/r13 which came by default with the car but is there any other profile of tyres available like 165/70/r13 or 165/80/r13 which is better than 165/55/r13 in road grip and especially in overall car height. My car hits every now and then with the speed barkers if there are three persons sitting at back seat.

I came to know that 165/80/r13 isn't available in Pakistan. Is that true?

i had 165 80 r 13 in my 96 civic... i think general makes this size but its a crap company..

i used such high profile tyres in my charade.. ended up with a hard ride and broken rear springs..

as suggested by other member stick to factory size for better fuel economy & comfort. 165 = width in mm / 55 = profile <=>height / 13 = wheel size in inches

Check the factory specs. They are usually written on the side doors. Looking at the size of EK wagon my best guess is that the factory recommended size should be either 145/80/R12 or 155/70/R12.

165 65 r13 is the right sizes and will fulfil your requirements.

Or
155 70 r13.
