brought it home in pieces 'as found' - took 4 of us along with the owner full day to find parts scattered all over an empty plot hidden under wild plants, grass and filth.
Loose assembly to give it a shape
looking like a juicy project now....
opened the engine a few days ago.....it is a 'rust horror' story. The push rods have evaported, pistons, camshaft and some other parts are welded with rust and are just not coming off. Sump is 70% eaten up, oil pump is rock solid.......It is important that I get this engine restored and running rather than replacing it with a similar 6 pot Chevy unit.
