One last addition to the '67 Impala has been the addition of disc brakes at the front. I'd tried using the drum brakes on the vehicle, but found out that the drums were over-heating rapidly. This problem is probably due to the desi brake leathers that we used in them. At any rate, I found the brake spongy, ineffectual and irritating, more than anything else.
As a result, the Black now has beautiful, big disc brakes (from a Chevy Caprice), instead. I was much disinclined to make this change, initially. After driving it, though, I'm glad I took the plunge!
