This is the original post on the contents of the BUG PACK Prothane Bushings Kit from Page 85 of the thread when it was unpacked to check the contents and it was realized that the front sway bar bushings were missing. Here in the 8th picture in the above post, there could be seen only two Swing Axle Bushings while the other two (the round ones) are the IRS Setup bushings. Can you imagine spending hefty sum of 110 USD and still not getting what you really desired?

I called JCWhitney and spoke to their customer service. They say the parts can be returned for a credit towards future purchases. I inquired about buying just the missing parts but was told that Bugpack has discontinued making the sway bar bushings altogether!!! JCWhitney website is displaying the Bugpack kits for Karmann Ghias only (probably the last of their stock as it is on clearance)

If you recall JCW delayed the order for months and they did say it was a stock issue. My personal experience with JCW in the past has been less than satisfactory. I wouldn't buy from them. They try and lure with free shipping offers as well as % off's but their stuff is crappy and their customer service worse.

Yeah I do remember having faced the delay in the shipment of bugpack and less than satisfactory customer service. No wonder they dont have their chunk of business while others seem to have been enjoying a good bite of it.

Having said that, thanks for taking time out to talk them through on this as this is ridiculous how they have messed up the whole thing. Its very disappointing that such suppliers can ruin your project with one tiny bit of mistake especially when the product promises and is marked with a description of "Bug Pack - Complete Prothane Bushing Kit for 48-65 Type1/Beetle".

If you could manage, I would like to ask for the missing prothane bushings pieces, i.e. Sway Bar Bushings Kit & Rear Torsion Bar Bushings (2) be brought from CIP1 in Canada. Any advances can be made if required. Thanks in advance.

CIP1 is not my personal favourite either. They have good customer service deliver promptly but the price is high and the quality of their parts is crap....chinese stuff! However it seems that they still have the BUGPACK stock and are selling the same kit for $142 plus 13% tax! Another thing I notice is that the kit does NOT include the sway bar bushing

I'll see if I can order just the sway bar bushings so they reach before I return.

They offer this: C16-111-100 - MOUNTING KIT FOR STOCK FRONT SWAY BAR T1 57-65 for 13.60 CAD however I am not sure if the product quality is any better than the Chinese stuff.

It IS the Chinese stuff. did you read the description?

Hmmm...just did. Hopeless case on the installation and quality. May be only these would suffice IF these fit in the stock clamps already on the car: C26-401-140 - STAINLESS STEEL SWAY BAR CLAMPS & BUSHING KIT (8-PC) FOR STOCK DIA. BAR - ALL BEETLE / GHIA

something wronghere as well. The link inyour posting leads to the prothane bushings while it says stainless steel clamps and bushing kit.
