most VW type 1 in Pakistan are missing engine bay seals, cooling pipes to the tin, have holes in the cooling tin, have badly mating exhausts, choked heat risers. holes in the cooling tin will cause hot air to be recirculated into the enginebay - BAD.
choked riser pipe and bad tune will cause the engine to balk and further heat up due to uneven combustion.
A correctly sealed engine bay in a type 1 is VITAL to keep the engine cool, All cooling air should be fresh and cool and sucked in from the grilles above the engine lid (or on the lid depending on model)
This setup will not enhance cooling, infact it may even hurt it in some conditions.
