Hi bro..sandblasting doesn't leave waves ....if it does the panels not worth keeping..it have to be changed anyway.. Your getting the tub and the floor done???... It's the best way to go for a full resto..

@Teeboyuk I am sure there is lot more to that look. But we were discussing the dished wheels so let's hear about your steps of process and how to ensure that things are kept in-line while widening wheels.

@Xulfiqar having seen manufacuring of hightech machinary at my fathers projects I still believe its no biggie. It might be if you wanted hairline pricision but keeping in view the road conditions and the state these wheels are on these old bugs I am sure the priciSion to the level of being countered with wheel weights can be easily achieved here too.

the wheel weights would not help if the item is not true round. The places I have seen who made these wheels required careful truing, then welded at high speed. If your facility can weld a torque convertor closed and it can remain true and then be dynamically balanced then go for it. Otherwise it would be a hair pulling situation. The result wont be steering wobble, but literally hopping and shaking the car like mad.

Can you source 4-5 Red Oxide aerosol cans for me? I might visit Multan in near future, will collect em from you.

Since Patina is now standing on the Alloys/Michelin 195/65R15s as it had donated its stock steelies and tyres to ELK, it was necessary to some how arrange the stock steelies and stock tyres to ensure that its suspension doesn't get eaten out by these heavier alloys/wheels/adaptor plates, like it did on ELK.

I had a complete set of 66 steelies in my stash which looked something like this to start with:

A little bit of TLC - automated grinder mounted steel wire brush/sanding/oxidation and aerosol spray cans - turned them into this shape.

Once they were painted, the pair of two 5.60x15s that I bought from Ahsan LHR for 3500/- went onto them as can be seen in the last pic above. But that was only possible when a panther brand tube of 6.50x14 was added to the mix, each costed 600/-

Time now to source two more 5.60x15 General Tyres before Patina could be back on all four stockers. If any of you have a lead on stoc tyres, please share.
